Useful accessory
Good quality board and folds away for flat storage. Slightly longer than expected but still vey useable.

Thick and easy to use
When my previous ironing board cover got so thin that you could see the metal through it I knew I needed a new one. Having merrily bought a new cover I soon realised that the problem wasn't just the cover, but also the foam that sits underneath it (between the metal ironing board and the cover); my previous one had all but disintegrated.In all honesty, I was a little taken aback at how a bit of foam could command such a price-tag. However, having purchased, cut to size and put on the ironing board I will admit that it works well.To cut I would recommend putting the entire sheet/foam on top of your ironing board and then getting a pen and drawing around it from underneath. That is what I did and it seemed to work well.

Good board but not enough padding
Sturdy and works well - however almost zero padding on the board. When ironing the screw heads that hold the board together stick through the padding and leave marks on your clothes. Factor in the cost of adding additional padding.

Felt backing required to brabantia ‘complete’ set that should have included 4mm felt backing
Had to purchase this 8mm felt backing as Brabantia ‘complete’ set ironing board cover description stated it had 4mm foam backing plus 4mm felt backing. Unfortunately the backing was only 8mm foam backing that was insufficient for a smooth ironing surface and hence this purchase at extra cost. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend.
