Great Device!
I hooked this up to my HP Pro Tablet 10 with Windows 8.1 and it worked great. I use it for Microsoft Streets & Trips. I did download the driver installer from the manufacturer's web site as instructed in the directions that came with it. Then I just had to select the right COM port in Streets & Trips. It is a compact device - fits easily in the palm of your hand. Seems to be quality made. It locks your position quickly.

Works well with Windows 7 and 10
Bought this GPS to work on various Window computers. Worked with version 7 and 10 but can not get it to find satellites with Windows 11. Loaded the driver and set the com port and baud rate like in the Windows 7 and 10 machines but it will not sync to any satellites with 11. Product description said it worked with 7, 10 and 11, but not on my computer. Will keep trying.

Works on surface tablets
After reading reviews, I assumed I would have to troubleshoot it to get it to work with my surface 7 running windows 11 pro..but it was a plug and play type scenario. So have no worries.Bought it to get a gps fix for winlink as I'm a ham radio person.. de KO4DDG for questions.Edit: worked for about 3 months then the LEDs stopped working, an no longer is giving gps data..theirs no support and only a contact page for customer support which so far no response..I cannot in good conscience recommend this if it quits 3 months later. Dropping my rating, an if I see any customer support I'll update this review.Another edit, still did not receive any messages from the company for support. Decided it couldnt hurt to open it up and poke around, so I did just that poked the components, metered things out, it was all inclusive. Put it back together and plugged it in, and it has been working for over a month now .go figure..I'll update my rating to a 3 stars

24 hours and dead
For THIS particular GlobalSat BU3353N I had a infant mortality.I'm running 2 of these on other computers and they work just fine, have been for quite some time which is why, when I needed another USB GPS, I bought another. This one lasted less than 23 hours. It sees all the satellites in view with a good signal but will not lock. I tested against one of the others I have and they lock just fine. Debating on trying another.

Fast detection of satellites.
Per instructions I downloaded the driver and GPS info zip files and installed on windows 11 laptop. Installed the driver, opened up the info program, and clicked "Start GPS." The puck began taking six or more satellite immediately sitting in my living room with no clear view of the sky. Using with OpenCPN.
