love our govee lights. We have some for outdoor and love that I can keep them up all year and change the lights as I please with just a push of a button from my phone app. It was super easy to install, looks classy, the adhesive has been strong enough to endure NM heat and sand storms. One thing to watch out for is that the rolls are to be installed in a certain order, we didn’t not realize this and installed out of order so when changing the lights we have to be mindful of that.

These Govee Outdoor LED Strip Lights completely changed the look and feel of my home! I used the full 65.6 feet to line the eaves around the entire exterior, and the result is nothing short of amazing. The lights are bright, colorful, and make my house stand out—in the best way—especially at night. Whether it’s for everyday ambiance or decorating for holidays and parties, they add the perfect touch.Installation was simple, and the adhesive backing was strong enough to stay in place around corners and edges. I love that they’re IP65 waterproof—rain or shine, they perform beautifully. The RGBIC feature allows different parts of the strip to glow in different colors at once, which creates a really unique and modern look.Controlling them through the Govee app or voice commands with Alexa has been smooth and convenient. I can set timers, change the mood instantly, and even sync them with music. PROS: Installation wasn't particularly difficult, these strips cannot but cut, but you can find extension cables on Amazon to run in between the strips (this set includes 3 strips). As this isn't the Pro version we were concerned these wouldn't be very bright.......we were wrong...VERY wrong. Theses lights are bright, with the strip facing forward these light up the cul-de-sac we live in. We really like the different effects in the Govee App, we also added Govee bulbs to the light fixtures in the front porch and synced those with this strip, it's soo cool! The Govee App is awesome, you can also control these from a desktop app on your PC.Cons: Govee is addictive.It starts with a strip on the roof of your house, and then some bulbs for some fixtures, and soon enough you have strips in your windows, the downward spots under your eaves, spot lights in your yard, and those really cool curtain lights.....

These are a lot of light for the money , they're not very easily bent to turn corners but can be done. One downside I'll say is you really need a defuser for these lights in my opinion because you can see each individual bulb and it's just too much. Extremely easy to connect and use, You cannot beat govee lights!

The media could not be loaded. I was so sick of climbing up on the roof each Christmas, unrolling the tangled mess of icicle lights and plugging them into messy extension cords. Each year there was always the nagging letters from HOA asking to take down the lights again just a day after New Years. I also wanted to have lighting for all occasions like Halloween, Christmas, New Years or Valentine’s Day. I did my research, compared features and pricing - these lights are exactly what I needed. I control everything from my Govee app, along with the dozens of other Govee lights, plugs sensors and buttons I have. I can time them to come on and off each night, change scenes with the click of a button. I will say that good planning is absolutely necessary for the installation. Make sure to measure everything twice. When installing the lights, find the roll of lights that doesn’t have a connection on one end - that’s the end roll. I started my installation from the end of my run and worked my way back to the outlet I installed under the eaves - one on the west side and one on the east side. I cleaned the eaves with a cloth and rubbing alcohol to prep for the adhesive backing - however more is needed to keep them on long term. I was installing over 200 ft of rope lights on my house, so I wasn’t about to screw in hundreds of plastic clips. Instead used the battery powered Milwaukee cable stapler which made the job a breeze and didn’t damage the strips (it’s designed for stapling electrical wire). About 3 hours work to install it all. While the transformer and button say rated for wet outdoor environments, the elements will still shorten their lifespan, so I installed them inside a plastic water tight junction box and used silicone to seal up the hole for wires. Check out the video for the results - I’m impressed and it’s totally worth it.

I bought this product a year ago, so figured it was time to leave a review.If you’re thinking of buying this absolutely take the plunge and buy them. We have had them for a year now with zero issues. App is pretty easy to use and connectivity is simple. You can set timers and a set schedule for the lights to turn on and off. You can customize pretty much everything about them in the app. They have preset templates for the holidays, different themes, whatever. Or if you don’t like any of them you can make your own! You can change the colors, pattern, speed, etc and save your templates.As for durability we haven’t had any issues. They’ve been up since Nov 2023 and have been through hurricane weather, extreme heat, and hail storms and no damage to the box, wiring, or lights. Of course, they have been under the overhang of our room all year so they haven’t been in the direct weather, but they have for sure gotten wet and done fine.They’re a little bit pricey if you don’t get them on sale, but they’re meant to be a permanent decoration/light solution so even if you buy them at full price, they pay for themselves in my opinion.
