Bit unstable and fiddly
This doesn't really do what I want a soldering stand to do, even a portable one. It's wobbly and unstable and you need to pay a lot of attention when using it. Tough to recommend for the money.

Reassuring solid, and very functional, but a bit unrefined
Normally ENGINEER branded products are very high quality – as is this product – and it's a very handy thing for use with a portable soldering iron. The o-ring seals well and keeps the sponges moist, and the iron holder works well enough. The only problem is the open/close mechanism is a bit janky and doesn't seem to line up very well, such that every time you close the lid it takes a few goes to get it on properly. A bit more design/refinement would have made this much more satisfying to use.

Engineer Quality, Portable, ONE NEW PRODUCT FLAW!! BEWARE!!
Engineer USUALLY make lovely quality products and this SHOULDN'T dissapoint.. BUT IT NEEDS MODIFYING!! ENGINEER WHAT ARE YOU GUYS PLAYING AT HERE????Pros:1. Not designed for mini USB irons, but they can fit at a stretch.2. For me it's the portability and reinforced robust construction and materials that makes this (& I own a couple more) a pleasure to use.3. The 'O' ring securely seals the nice fit lid to the damp sponges compartment. (yes you get two types of sponges inc.).. It effectively keeps sponge cleaners moist over time, so I know they're ready to use when I open... Also no worry about damp/leaks causing rust or corrosion when stored in my soldering case.4. The soldering iron pull-up wire (the rest bit for the iron) is heavy duty stainless, sturdyCons:BUT Wire is NOT well secured.. (See Wiston, Japan Review) Mine too doesn't spring 'click' firmly open and upright, IT FLOPS ABOUT.!! IT SHOULD SPRING-LOCK OPEN INTO THE TWO CUTOUTS MOULDED INTO THE LID HINGE.. WELL IT DOESN'T!!! . WHY??... The design solution is all there, in the lid design.I'VE RESHAPED PROPERLY NOW and it spring clips firmly open or closed!! See their product picture Vs my modded wire Pics. A simple BUT SERIOUS 'Engineer'ing oversight, (the Production Manager needs a good kic#&ing & seeing to!) for that I remove four stars. Rebend not easy as it's quality heavy guage SS wire and a small, tight rebend..

Very Happy
Been using this a lot since I received it, and compared to my cheap wire stand this is leaps and bounds ahead. I have not used the Sponge that's supplied with it as I use a large home made one that i prefer.

Produit très cool simple mais efficaceJ'ai du mal lire la description a l'image je pensais que le produit était en genre de fonte mais c'est bien du plastique 😅Ça ne change pas grande chose a l efficacité du produit

Gut durchdachtes Produkt, eigentümliche Handhabung
An sich ein top Produkt, sehr gute Verarbeitung, Ideal für unterwegs. In der DOse befinden sich 2 unterschiedlich feine Schwämme, welche auch ordentlich Wasser aufsaugen und halten. Der Deckel der Dose schließt mithilfe einer Gummidichtung den Behälter wasserdicht ab, somit bleiben die Schwämme auch unterwegs feucht. Der Verschluss scheint als Drehverschluss mit einer Nase zum einrasten gedacht zu sein, jedoch rastet mein Deckel nicht richtig ein. Dennoch kann ich ihn soweit zudrehen dass er dicht ist und hält.

Excellent produit, pratique et de très bonne qualité
J'ai acheté ce support pour fer à souder car je suis souvent en déplacement pour faire des réparations, et c'est le seul qui offre une aussi bonne portabilité.Le support se dévisse et se sépare pour offrir un support pour le fer à souder et un pour les éponges. On note immédiatement l'excellente qualité de fabrication, le nylon est épais, le support à une mousse antidérapante au dessous, les deux éponges fournies sont très durables et le tout est bien stable.Le nylon avec lequel est fabriqué le support résiste très bien à la chaleur, je m'en suis déjà servis une petite dizaine de fois et il n'a aucune trace visible, j'ai même fait accidentellement tombé de la soudure fondu dessus, et ça ne l'a pas abîmé du tout.La seule critique que j'aurais à faire est sur le support du fer à souder, qui gagnerais à être un peu plus lourd, il peut parfois pencher quand le câble du fer à souder tir dessus. Mais encore, rien de dramatique.Si vous cherchez un support pour fer à souder très solide, portatif est extrêmement compacte, je vous recommande vivement celui-ci. Bravo à Engineer pour cet excellent produit qui répond parfaitement à mes attentes.
