I bought this gel as I have had various muscular aches and pains over the past year. (associated with getting older). I had been taking oral magnesium supplements which helped the soreness somewhat. However, having done further research I learned about this topical way to use magnesium which bypasses the digestive system. This means the uptake can be better than taking it by mouth. Within a couple of days my sore knees were so much better. I've now been using this product for about 6 weeks and my aches are now a thing of the past. I would urge anyone to try this form of magnesium and see for themselves how effective it is. Also the cost is so reasonable considering the amount you get.Great product.

bought this for pain relief but found i had to be careful what else I had on my skin as it made me itch. But a friend tried it and she didn't get the same reaction. , but I do have sensitive skin.

I have CFS/ME and developed sore upper legs, which doctors could not diagnose. It may be a form of fibromyalgia, and on searching the internet I concluded that it might be caused by a shortage of magnesium in my body. I tried magnesium oil in a spray, and while this was very helpful in reducing the pain, I found that it sometimes irritated the skin (especially if I rubbed the oil in for too long). As an alternative, I tried this magnesium gel and am very pleased with it. It can be chilly when first applied, but now I rub the gel between my palms and the gel warms up. I have a shower after 20 minutes to wash off the excess. As for the fibromyalgic pains, these are almost completely gone. I used to have very disturbed sleep and couldn't sleep one my right side. Please note that I also take regular Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) baths, and I am sure they help, but the magnesium gel is very good for a focused application.

I've tried now a couple of times. I will not buy again as it doesn't absorb into my skin. It's leaving my bed sheets dirty. And where it isn't soaking in it's not helping with my leg cramps early hours in the morning. I'm be buying a lotion type in future. In my opinion a waste of money.

Is very good, makes a difference with sleep issues. It still stings though less than the oil, especially if you shower every day. Putting a little bit of coconut oil on helps with the stinging and it still seems to absorb alright. If we forget, sleep issues come back.

A little goes a long way! Start off with small amounts as the high magnesium content can irritate the skin a little bit. I'm on a small dollop and feeling better everyday. This bottle will probably last for the next year and a half an least at this rate! Good value for money.
