Throw away your “absorbable” dog mats for food/water and get THIS!
I’ve gone through many dog mats that claim they are absorbable and/or water resistant, but eventually they will all seep and wet your floorings or eventually will smell in a few months. I decided to look for an alternative to just catch the water instead of absorbing into a mat, along with finding a mat that is big enough to catch my dogs slobbery mess when he drinks water. Once I found this product that fit my needs I purchased it right away.Upon opening the package I was happy that it was the perfect size I was looking for to be able to cover my dog’s large water bowl. It is a silicon mat with handles on each end, zigzag grooves and a small dip on the outer part of the mat to catch water/food. Also the mat has a 1/2-1in wall to ensure nothing spills and will catch it. The quality overall is great so far as it is easy to clean and durable. It is pretty flat and will stay in place due to it being silicone. When picking up the mat just be careful as it is flimsy due to its flexibility. So far I haven’t had any issues with spillage outside of the mat and can see this product being used for a long time. Best investment so far in terms of a dog mat for their food/water.

Finally!
Bought the small size to contain an automatic water fountain and a gravity feeder for our cat. It fits both nicely and keeps the mess contained. Haven’t spilled water yet, but it will be easy to clean up. I was afraid it would be too small, but it isn’t.

Easy clean up. Love the handles. Stays put. Dog bowls don’t slide. Plenty of space for dogs paws too.

Great mat for messy pups!
Not as rigid as I was expecting but still a great mat for messy pups. Love the large size and shape to fit a large slow feeder and water bowl. Handles are perfect to lift mat to the sink without spilling all over the floor on the way!

Still using it years later.
I purchased this years go. Its to only mat affective for large, messy drinking dogs. Very sturdy and easy to clean.

Thick and works well
It’s thick and keeps the food water off the floor. And easy to clean.

Could be better
A little too flimsy, and the grooved pattern on it makes it very tough to clean, unless you want to sit there for 2 hrs with a toothbrush or Q-Tips to clean out the grooves!

Fixes her drinking problem!
One of my dogs thinks water bowl time is also a good time to wash her face, dunk her head... whatever she chooses that day to make a splash. All the "cutsie" mats were worthless against her skill level. Finally we have a mat big enough (and deep enough) to contain the spillage my girl can make. I'm totally looking forward to no more messes - and it's big enough to hold her 5 gallon mason jar with plenty of room to spare!
