These are perfect coverings to protect my sneakers from burn when I don't feel like wearing boots

These were originally bought for their actual use, to protect footwear and ankles from sparks, debris and other welding/grinding activities. They have also been upgraded to being my go-to covers for when I do any logging or firewood processing. So easy to put on and protect shoes/boots from everything. I no longer have to pick metal shavings or wood chips out of my socks!IF there is a negative aspect (and that is a big IF), it is that when using them in the summer, or in warm to hot environments, if you sweat or spill water on them, the leather is likely to stretch a bit. This is not a bad thing, it means that quality leather was actually used to make them, all I had to do was add another strip of velcro to the inside portion of the wrap and this issue was resolved. My wife had spare velcro in her craft supplies, but it can easily be purchased at the dollar store. Awesome spats for the price.
