Neat little clock.
I purchased two of these and love it. It is unique and has a bright display. The alarm isn't the loudest however with earplugs I still hear it fine. Also the temp display is probably a couple degrees off. Not a deal breaker. Keep in mind different colors have different displays. Some show the alarm set time and some do not. To me that is important as I like to make sure the alarm is set. I chose the brown one and love it. Very easy to figure out. No instructions needed.

Gorgeous and Great for Guests
Although you cannot argue about taste, I think most people would consider this clock gorgeous. I and my handyman do. It appears to be made from a thin veneer of real wood, wrapped around some triangular-bar frame. We *really* had to look hard to find the seam in the veneer at the bottom of the clock.I was particularly interested in the simple version of this clock, as it should be very easy for guests to figure out how to set the alarm and kill it. I did put the folded instructions below the clock, but I doubt that anyone who is a guest of mine would need them. There are no redundant features such as dates and so to complicate things. All controls are simple, well marked, and intuitive. The brightness and alarm volume are set by simple dials. The alarm and time adjustments are done by single-function buttons. And as far as time adjustment is concerned, the clock comes with a plug in power source, with also a backup battery. So even if the guest room is not used for an extended time, the time display will probably still be good enough by itself. Note also that the time is shown in very big digits.I liked the clock so much that I got a second one for my own bedroom, to replace the Westclox one whose buttons are getting cranky. Pic 1 shows them side by side. Pic 2 shows them in the dark. It should be noted that the Westclox produces little stray light at night while it is still clearly visible during the day. If the DreamSky display is visible during the day, then if you do not want a "nightlight" in the dark, you will need to turn the brightness dial back when you go to sleep. Or if you turn the brightness dial so that there is negligible light spillage at night, the clock will appear as a simple decorative wood bar during the day. You might actually like that for its sophistication, since you probably do not really need the time display during the day anyway.I think the difference between the clocks in light spillage is probably due to the Westclox's "line thickness" being less than the DreamSky. However, the difference in light color might also play a part.

Snazzy clock- love adjustable brightness
I am bothered by lights when trying to sleep so I looked for an adjustable brightness digital clock. I like the wood look and the mellow brightness (you can obviously make it brighter) as well as the temperature display and the battery back up.

I concur
Yep. I've been using this as a bedside alarm clock for a few days now and I agree with pretty much everyone that this is a far above average alarm clock. I'm a light sleeper so I keep the brightness and alarm sound quite low. I chose the amber display because that color light (also red) is supposed to disturb sleep the least. The amber is also pretty (prettier than red, IMO). I definitely prefer it to the aggressive blue glow of my last clock.I love having the snooze button completely separate from the other controls so I don't have to worry that I might have hit the wrong button. Now that I have it in my brain that the button to turn the alarm off is the last little round button to the right so I can pick the right one in my dark bedroom when I get up, I'm officially very happy with the whole thing. My only suggestion for improving it would be to make a model that has the alarm time and the date on the front. Don't really have a need for room temperature.

Nice variable brightness, easy alarm set, and clear if the alarm is set or not, won't tip over
Nice variable brightness, easy alarm set, and clear if the alarm is set or not, won't tip over. My previous clock was too narrow, and I kept knocking it over when trying to snooze the alarm. With this being prism-shaped, that doesn't happen. Alarm is plenty loud enough, and there's a display to show that the alarm is set, and what it's set to. Sometimes I forget to turn it on (just like everyone else at some time or another), and it displays OFF right on the front so it's almost impossible to forget to arm it. When armed, it shows the time that it's set to right on the front. Run with a USB power supply, and has battery backup. You can also plug 2 USB devices in the back. Being able to easily vary the brightness with a knob, it can be dimmed at night (all the way to off, if you want), but bright enough to see it from the hallway during the day. I like clocks on 24 hour time, and this has it. Highly recommended.

Great bedroom clock
The media could not be loaded. We bought this clock for our bedroom and cared a lot about the brightness dimming. My partner is easily kept awake by light at night.PROS:Very dimmableCool wooden lookNot too expensiveUSB plug inCONS:You can't remove the alarm "OFF" from the screen if you aren't using the alarm. The temperature is displaying the temperature in the room. It is not hooked up to wifi or displaying the temperature outside.

On your time
This item is just as expected. I wanted something that was not going to be overwhelmingly bright and distracting. This works perfectly. The back bottom gives you a few options to adjust the visibility of the display. Also, I haven’t used the alarm clock setting yet, I did do a test and the snooze button is on the top and a simple touch disarms it. Then to completely turn off your alarm you have to use the button in the back of the alarm to shut it off. So I figured that was a bit weird.
