Easy to configure, no English instructions, but still easy to do.
Okay, there's only one thing that I can say that was bad about this product. That is that the instructions are not in English. However, putting that aside, the unit works great! I put the SIM card in from net buddy and it was up and running right away without me doing any configuring. The only thing that I needed the instructions for was to go in and change the SSID and Wi-Fi password as well as the administrator password. Once I figured out the login IP address which was 192.168.8.1 and the administrator username is admin with a blank password. Everything went smooth because I could change the interface to English. The only other drawback, that really isn't a drawback, is that the power supply that comes with it is meant for countries other than the Americas. It does come with an adapter so that it can be plugged into an American socket. I happen to have another 12 volt power supply that I could use that was two amps, it only required one amp. It works just great in it. So even with the drawbacks, this is a great little router that's easy to configure and works as advertised. Keep in mind I've only been using it for about 4 or 5 hours, but everything is working great right now, I'm using it in an RV and it works excellent, good signal strength everywhere in my 33 foot RV with the router station almost in the middle of the RV.

Worth Every Penny!
I am currently using this router with an AT&T SIM card and getting over 60 Mbps down and around 20 Mbps up! All this without even having the rabbit ear antennas connected on the back. I'm getting 3 out of 4 bars of service and am about 3 miles from the nearest tower. This router does not support AT&T's band 12/17 which has the best range, but it does support bands 2 and 4, both of which AT&T uses. The tower I'm connecting to has bands 2 and 12/17, so naturally I'm only able to pick up band 2, but am getting excellent reception and speeds. The power adapter I received with it was a 12V 1 Amp European one with an EU to US converter. To me it seemed pretty weird and flimsy, so I decided to use my own 12V 1.5 Amp DC adapter and the router works great. I've read that as long as the voltage (12V) is the same as the original charger, the Amp rating can be higher (in my case 1.5 Amps) and it will work perfectly fine because the router won't draw more than 1 Amp anyway. I have also turned off the wifi on this router and have it connected to my main router (Linksys WRT1900ACS) which provides wifi throughout my home. The reason for this is that nothing compares to my Linksys's wifi range. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this Huawei LTE router's performance. It's worth every penny!

Good for a year then stops working completely
Worked pretty good for a year now it can hardly pick up a signal and even though my tv is connected to it and shows a signal, it don’t give internet and takes forever to download anything on my Xbox, PlayStation, takes forever for anything to load and any video is really fuzzy or it just won’t load. Good for the first year then all those problems arised ad the end of a year of having it.

A few oddities
The device appears to work well, but it's a bit disconcerting that most labels and instructions are in Spanish. To find good instructions in English, you have to do a Google search. The Huawei instruction are too limited. The labels in the administration set-up are cryptic for an ordinary user, but this is a common failing of routers. Look it up online and find someone who explains it more clearly. The AC comes with an international plug and a large, clumsy adapter that does not stay firm in the socket. That's a nuisance. This unit must be plugged into AC power to work. It does not have a battery. So it's not a regular mobile hotspot, in case that's what you were looking for.

Brilliant - opens up all sorts of options over DSL/Cable
I recently rented a small office and needed a basic internet connection for light use (hand full of people - email, browsing etc). Comcast (local cable) wanted $75 a month plus tax for their cheapest "business connection". AT&T had a "special" for $59 a month for 25meg DSL "U-verse Business connection". Mind you plus tax on both. AT&T after two weeks still had problems with the installation (and I live in S. Florida--right in town. Man-o-man ATT is the worst). In the interim I ordered this router to see if it would work. Added a $20 a month T-Mobile "unlimited device" data plan addon and wallla! IT'S PERFECT. And it is faster than the AT&T service (see screenshot). It really works. Just drop in the sim chip (FULL SIZE SIM so make sure you keep the nano-sim in the full chip/old style form factor) and turn on the router. Entire setup took 2 minutes. I cancelled the AT&T install/service order. Could not be happier.

Great beginner hotspot
I originally bought this as I needed internet access on the go. I didnt realize it didnt come with an AC adapter for a vehicle. It was also a European style power cable with a US adapter. It worked well, but didnt get great signal in most places I was in. The antennas also start to get loose over time. I had it about 2 months before I upgraded to a Netgear mobile hotspot that got better signal.

Home internet for $45!
If there's a will there's a way! I was worried at first but decided to gamble on using this as a home internet alternative. I'm happy to say this device works absolutely flawlessly with the T-Mobile ONE Plus w/ Mobile HotSpot plan for tablets. Unlimited data and tethering with this plan so I now have unlimited home internet for $45! I noticed a mild increase in my speeds when I changed the APN to fast.t-mobile.com. You don't need to be tech savvy to change this as you'll find the box to type this in by clicking around the router menu. Expect the same speeds you get on your phone right now--Google "speed test" to see what you can anticipate. Seattle area gives me 50+ Mbps down which is completely sufficient for my gaming and streaming needs. Seen people in Phoenix get 100+ mbps. Think smart and don't overpay for internet! Router offers both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz settings. Decent network range. Stellar price for such an incredible device!
