This 2005 edition is of a higher standard than the newer 2009 edition. It contains more grammar and additional useful Ibarat. The 2009 edition is in many ways a dumbed down version of the 2005 edition. There are many exercises and concepts in the older book (2005) that will enable you to move on to Vol. 3. The gap between Vol 2 new edition and Vol 3 is very wide and moving between Vol 2 new to Vol 3 will require you freshing up on concepts that are in Vol 2 old. As a student you will likely not know what to look for. Hence it is mandatory to have a teacher to teach you using Vol 2 old and new. Vol 2 is the most important book in the 3 books of the Georegetown series. It contains the bulk of the essential grammar. So it is important to do it well and full and at this stage of studying a teacher is still needed. After Vol 3 you can slow down on needing a teacher but even then it is still required.

The description says it comes with a dvd. The dvd was not included in my shipment.

This is one of the worst language text books I've ever come across, and that includes 15 years as a full-time teacher of languages and many more part-time. Moreoever it is the opinion of others in the class I attended in which we 'used' this book. Unfortunately some courses seem wedded to it.It is badly organized, introduces new words but does not use them again, with the result that there is no reinforcement, and has no grammar summary. Reeceived the product very late after 4 weeks!! But the owner was really nice and answered very quckly bakc that they ve had trouble with shipping before and that it will arrive very soon.

Not at all what was promised. It was in a very bad state with handwriting over the texts and the results filled out.

It's not the perfect teaching tool, but it's great for students since most of the book is auto study. The dvd's are quite good, although grammar is not very straightforward at times.

Book is brilliant! However the DVD is not working!
