Frida Kahlo: The Story of Her Life

Best graphic novel I have read in a long time. Almost spiritual

Such a beautiful book! Portrays her life and you re-live it as you read. My favourite artist and one I can really connect with, through art and life. I like how she talks with death and especially the artwork in the book. It's a must read! Defo more than 5 stars!

Excellent book and well serviced.

The novel tells Fridas lifestory through a conversation between 'Death' (a character) and Frida. The images are stunning , but for me it was the story and the rawness of it - that I loved.

NOT FOR CHILDREN! Sadly found out that my fmdaighter couldn't look at it as it's full of inappropriate images!

I read a lot of graphic novels and I absolutely loved this one from start to finish. The hardback is absolutely beautiful: this is a quality book that's perfect for art lovers. Vinci's art and writing are perfect, and it does a great job of covering Frida Kahlo's entire life. There is a lot of quite graphic content due to the frank portrayal of Kahlo's injuries and her sex life, but I'm guessing that anybody interested in Kahlo won't be put off by that!
