It wont work on new windows version
It simply won't work on windows 10 . Even tried with compatibility mode it refuses to install..Useless if you have new windows version..I am not sure if it will work on old versions.

Had to workaround the setup to even get it installed
I couldn't get either this or another Mamut package to install by following the instructions or by letting it autorun. Personally, I think the vast majority of end-users would demand a refund at that point if they hit a problem as fundamental as that.However, by throwing away the instructions and experimenting, I finally got the product to install. This shouldn't be necessary and having to do it does not inspire me with confidence in the product. Others may disagree, but I would not trust my business administration to a product that doesn't even install without having to workaround issues with the product.For anybody else that has problems installing this software, try this - bypass autorun, ignore the setup.exe in the root directory on the disk, don't try running the msi file directly, but instead run the setup.exe in X:\Setup\Install where X is the drive containing the disk.I could dig out filemon, regmon etc to investigate exactly why the installation as shipped fails, but I'll leave that to Mamut (I get paid to do that sort of thing - I might do it free of charge for a deserving charity, but not for a commercial organisation).When the installation finally does happen, the user is asked for a lot of information that is apparently reported back to the producers of the product. Why? Registering a product for updates or support is one thing, supplying all that information is something else.I will be working with this software for a while before I produce a full review, but those two issues already described above leave me with a poor view so far. The failing installation alone warrants the 1 star I have given the product. If, in day-to-day use the product really does shine then I might change that rating, but failure to install is so fundamental that it really would have to shine in a big way.

Well Made Software
A good tool but one that is best suited to a business that has the right need for it, running a small business with a couple of people is not where you are going to get the best use for this as it is pretty expensive for a small firm too. This has great CRM and a wealth of reports built in as standard, the online support for 12 months is a great addition and has enough information and instruction to get you on the way quite easily, I'm not too impressed with the way the website part and e-commerce work but it's not its primary task but a side function which ought to be canned.another great addition is the google adwords voucher - although you could argue to take a little off the price and not have the voucher as a sweetner bundled in. The inputting side is a peice of cake and very intuitive to use, very stable as I have not had a single problem on XP SP 3.My only gripe is that as Mamut is still up and coming the other software packages don't link in as well as they could do, whereas sage is better supported via other software I would say this is better than the demos I have tried of sage in the past.would I recomend it... Yes if you employ more than 10 people and have a need for everything it sais on the box. Unsure? Try the Mamut One demo on there website - it's not the best online trial but will give you a feel for how the software works and feels.

A multi-faceted product!
I have to say at present I am only using the CRM function of the software for keeping a customer database but I am planning on using the accounting functions having compared them to Quicken which I was using on my old laptop.This software is very easy to install, very easy to use and with a great helpline from Mamut if you get stuck!You do have to pay a yearly fee to keep using it (check this out first on their website for prices) but that gives you technical support and all your upgrades)In terms of CRM functionality then this does all I would need in terms of sales tracking, and tracking deals that are imminent.A quality product at a very keen price when compared to other similar products.Can't fault it and recommended for all SOHO businesses out there.Great!

I came to this from Microsoft Accounting Professional. It is nowhere as easy to use. Stock control is vital for me, but "bugs" in the system mean the stock value is not kept accurately. It heavily relies on Journal entry and you can overcome errors in your entries eventually. The training CD they sell is so out of date it only works on XP!!!! The mail support is a joke with replies taking 3 or 4 days each time. They usually do not answer the question. There are a lot of settings to set up when you first start your company. Sadly the documentation does not help explain much what each of these do. I was sent recordings of the training sessions which were good to have.They make basic tasks complicated which slows data entry. Having tried TAS books, Sage Instant Accounting and this then Mamut has the edge out of a pretty poor collection.

A real eye opener
For some reason, I had fairly low expectations of this but was very pleasantly surprised.It installed easily on XP Pro, for me, and has proved mainly intuitive and indeed satisfying to use. The interface is first-class, a bit of a Rolls Royce job. It seems very fully-featured - so far, I've failed to find any requirements it fails to satisfy. And I haven't had any problems with bugs, so far.I haven't tried the online training sessions yet, but it's great that they're available. Support was excellent, on the one occasion I contacted them.Highly recommended.

Straightforward and simple
A very simple to use package that has a huge range of features including Client Management, Project Costing, Accounting, Invoicing...well you can read the list on the product description. Simple and quick to install, although you will have to take the time to get to know the capabilities and get it set up for you.If you have a small business then this is a package that you should investigate because it really does make running and managing your business easierRecommended
