Great item for a good price
These socks are a necessity for anyone who like cooking. You can make any soup/stock/broth easily and conveniently if you like to take out some ingredients, it makes the process nice and easy. Can be used in any pot, pressure cooker or Dutch oven.I was looking for soups socks for a while and these were the best price I could find. They also work great as a substitute for cheese cloth if you are making cheese or yogurt, they’re very versatile (just make sure you use different ones for dairy/meat/fish). I added little embroidery on each one with the type of food I use them for and it works great for me.They’re fantastic and every kitchen needs these.

Fantastic!! Takes a lot of the work out of soup making.
I love to use these bags when making soup from poultry. After serving a grilled or roasted chicken, duck or turkey, I like to make soup from the carcass. I remove the bulk of the remaining meat, break up the carcass and put the bones and skin in one of these bags. The bags are remarkably sturdy and boil well. I tie a knot in the open end of the bag and add it to my soup pot along with the other soup ingredients. I cook the soup until the meat is quite tender and falling off the bones. I remove the bag from the pot open it on a cookie sheet and let the contents cool to the touch. Then it is a simple task to remove any excess meat from the bones and add back to the soup mixture. No difficulty in keeping small bones from being added to the soup. Saves a tremendous amount of time in making the soup. You could wash and reuse the bag but I usually discard and use a new one the next time I make soup.

Made my first bone broth with these!
I love these soup socks! Stuffed one full of roasted chicken bones plus whole wings, feet, an onion (quartered) and a whole bulb of garlic. Tied it off and sunk it into a “7-quart” crockpot (that only holds 5 quarts!) full of water. About 30 hours later, I took the sock out of 5 quarts of lovely, clear, silky and flavorful bone broth. No muss; no fuss! I was able to empty and wash the mesh bag for another use. Just to continue the theme and further eliminate the straining process, I used a 4x6” cloth spice bag for fresh thyme, bay leaves and peppercorns in the broth as well. These babies are a game changer in the broth & stock process.I’ll be giving a package to my niece soon.

Good for making poultry stock.
Used for making chicken stock from roast chicken carcasses. Normally freeze one, then after buying another Rotisserie chicken, will use both carcasses to make chicken soup. Makes it easy to keep bones out of soup.

Well made but on the small side
We make homemade bone broth and these wraps handle the load without issue. That they are made in the USA for us is a plus.

Socks for food
These are a cool thing. I used them for making chicken soup this winter, and didn't have to deal with all the messy bones and skin floating everywhere. I have also used them in my pressure cooker to cook up a whole chicken. I used to do it with out these socks, but the chicken would fall apart as soon as I would raise up the rack. This way it all stays together and makes it to the platter. They are a nice size and will be trying it with multiple foods and processes.

Good product
These are very handy and make cleanup easy. When boiling a chicken carcass and all the stock vegetables in it as well, you simply remove the stock sock and dispose the whole thing. I use these often.

Best thing ever!
Making soup just got a whole lot easier using the soup sock. Keeps everything together for easy removal from the pot, and into the compost bin. Untie to remove what you choose, then just re-tie and toss.

Great for Chicken Bones!
Bought this so I could use chicken bones in my soups without fishing out the tiny shards as they break down. Works as advertised!

Time saving
Time saver when making bone broth regularly! I’m choosing to discard the bags after each use but with a bit of time, they could be washed and reused, I guess. It makes straining and cleaning up much more efficient, I just lift the bag up and the broth is ready to be stored. I’ll be buying the larger pack next time as I consider it essential now.
