Wish I had bought this heater first for my chicken coop! This is a far superior heater! Plus it can be hooked up to a temp controlled plug in that will turn the heater on at low temperatures and back off at higher temperatures. Heater will still turn back on when the power been shut off for whatever reason and remember it’s settings too! Just be warned not all heaters out there will turn themselves back on if the power goes out! I learned that the hard way with the first heater I bought that I have to turn back on manually when the power goes out! That was a huge disappointment and why I ended up buying this heater! Another plus is it has more power and throws out much more heat too! It’s not like a heater you use in your home, but that be too much heat that could cause fire issues! This one is warmer heat that you would not want to touch the face of the heater. Unlike the first one I bought that I can touch the face with the heater on too! It’s barely gets warm! So you really want to look closely at the heaters you’re considering buying! This one the best I have seen and used so far! Can’t complain about it a Ass t all! Update 12/25/23 Christmas! This heater is still working flawlessly, it’s installed in a 12’X12’ coop, so it doesn’t keep the coop itself very warm but chickens don’t need to be kept very warm! The heater is only to keep their water from freezing during the colder temps below freezing. I keep their water bowl near the heater and it does keep water from freezing so far! I’m going to buy another one of these heaters to put in my large dog house for my dog! Heater been super dependable! and does put out enough heat that you can feel it with your hand. But if you’re looking for a heater to heat a large room to 70 degrees. This heater not what you want! For tiny areas this is a great little heater!

I am so happy with this heater. I put it in my bunny hutch which is about 6x3. There is a small open door in it so they can get out into their shed but it still maintains a good heat. It was 5 degrees outside and inside their hutch it was 30 degrees. Currently it’s 15 degrees outside and it’s keeping their hutch around 45 degrees. It has been running continuously for days with no issues. The best part is I don’t worry it will start a fire because I was able to screw it up high. Excellent!!

Not quite the power that I was expecting. Good design ,quiet, and is doing a pretty good job in conjunction with another small heater. To be fair my area is fairly large, 49 Square ft. With a 6 1/2 ft ceiling.

Does get hot in a small area, my dog loves it kept him warm all winter

This heater has survived the elements for a couple of years and have performed very well. Purchased two of these and the product design permits it to be installed and used safely. I love the design of the heating elements. These warm an enclosed outside kennel making them exposed to dust. One fan fail but it can be easily replaced if you have that skill-set. I intend by buy a few more of these which are still reasonably priced!

I was reading the reviews before I bought this and thought that it would work in my chicken coop. It is not, it is not made for big spaces. I put this in my chicken coop hoping that it would at least keep my coot from being so cold and it didn't even put a dent in the temperature. It was a waste of electricity. Now if I had a smaller Coop or a dog house this would be perfect. So just know if you're buying it for a chicken coop, make sure it's a small Cooper. It will not be worth purchasing. It is made of really good material, it is strong and sturdy. And I like how the cord the metal coil wrapped around it to protect it. It will not protect it from rats and mice though. Anything that wants to bite through the cord will be able to bite through the cord. This is a very good product. Just was not for what I needed it for.

Had to buy this one after another dog heater failed. This fan is quiet and does not rattle, unlike the last one. My only complaint is it doesn't angle down at like a 45 degree angle. I had to make an add on for it to do that. shooting the hot air out straight only made the dog house warm at the top. but once i angled it down it made the dog house warm all over. Not super powerful when expelling heat but takes the chill out of the air for sure.

Below was my original review, I loved the heater but unfortunately it seems within a couple months of use the heating element has already failed.. This heater is exactly what I needed. It works great coupled with an Inkbird temperature controller, I would highly suggest using this with a temperature controller to maintain consistent temperature without excessive heating.

Not sure how to rate this one. I love the product and I was going to get another, but then, the price doubled. So I waited another week or so and now, the price has trippled. It went from 49.99 to 149.99. How??? Because of this, I'm rating it a 1 but honestly, the product is great but the distributor is way out to lunch.

Get hotter than one would like. If you have a chewer dont buy, my dog chewed right threw coils and split the cord in half.

Great product. Sturdy and serviceable.

Do not use in a coop, the dust is a fire hazard ?
