Q: is this panko breadcrumbs wheat gluten free

Does not say so on the label. Made from bread, so I would say not.

Q: How long a use by date do they have?

Mine had 3 years and one month before the "Use By" date. The very definite pro is that they are superior to ordinary breadcrumbs, even home-made ones. The disadvantage is that my order was for a pack of 5 and I confess to having been unable to use them all up by the expiry date. Panko breadcrumbs can now be bought as single packets in supermarkets although they couldn't when I placed my order with Amazon. Clearly you'd need to use them fairly regularly to use up 5 packets and I didn't. These are however very good and worth trying.
