Cold steel
The cold steel verdict is authentic. I love it. I paid for less money buying it on Amazon opposed to the cold steel website.I buy all my cold steel knives on Amazon'. Furthermore, Amazon sells cold steel knives and also on the cold steel website. However, Amazon sells for far less.

Another knife.
@ $24.99 it's prob not that bad, but over that price no way. The lock up is 100%. There are some serious knives out there for around that price and good quality. Example 'FLISSA'

A strange flaw, and I'm sorry to say a black eye for Cold Steel
I like the knife in every way except for one flaw, which I take to be a quality control issue: about the first inch of the blade, measured from the tip, did not have a good edge. The other two inches of the blade, though not razor sharp, cut the edge of a page of newspaper pretty smoothly; but the first inch of the knife blade was either not ground correctly, or was not sharpened correctly. I had to work on it a bit to sharpen it.

Sharp pocket knife.
The steel in this knife is much better quality than my other two Buck knife made in the USA.Hold sharp edge much longer.

Great EDC. Lightweight & strong
The media could not be loaded. This is my go to everyday carry knife. For light work and ease of carry.PROS: Thin profile makes it barely noticeable in the pocket. It has a deep pocket clip that is reversible it only weighs 2.5 oz it comes in a variety of blade styles and colors the handle is grippy enough and you have that peace of mind with the super strong Triad lock.I own a lot of folding knives and this one hits the mark for me.CONS: not the best blade steel and not the best grip on handle but keeps it within an affordable price range.

Very “bystander” friendly, satisfies 3” jurisdictions
Review of Cold Steel Verdict SPEAR point.Lower-reflection stain finish (stonewashed?), not susceptible to rust like a bead blast.Extremely safe carry with the effectively tight pocket clip oriented for blade spine against seam or loose carry (the strong lock back retains the blade well in the handle, and if snagged or somehow bumped hard enough to open, there is enough spring to reclose it up to 45 degrees). Not a pocket shredder due to smoothe handle. No steel liners means 2.5” weight. Buy the Mini Recon, also 3”, for thicker handle with half height liners.Handle is thin like a Benchmade Bug Out but doesn’t flex under my normal test pinch, unlike Bugout.I’d rather see AUS10 for 20% longer edge retention, but 4116 is more rust resistant and possibly tougher. Sharpens hair popping sharp. The lockback the Tri Ad is industry leader in stopping accidental closing on fingers. This one is smooth presumably due to minor tune ups over the years. Possible to thumbstud snap it open, but I prefer slow roll.Believe it or not the “spear point” looks less menacing to me than the clip point. For a less expensive option, the 1911 or Kiradashi (3”/2.75”, liner lock/TriAd)
