Re-Replacement Unit
Bought this as a replacement for our Lomanco PowerCool 2000 thermostat which failed last August. Installation was fairly straightforward (be sure to turn off power at panel!), as it was an exact factory match to what we had. Asked if we should go with factory setting or should pick our own set point, person at Lomanco highly recommended we shouldn't change it - so we left it as is.Fast forward to Spring 2022 - Noticed our attic ventilator was short cycling like crazy - would run for 15-20 seconds, turn off, come back on in a minute or so, turn off, etc. This went on for approximately 20 minutes when the fan turned off (and stayed off).In communicating with Lomanco, it appears there might have be a quality issue with some of the thermostats that were produced last year, and that we might have gotten one of them. They had us test the unit we had, decided it was defective, and will be replacing it.This is not meant to be a criticism of the quality of their products (we've used their attic ventilators on our last three houses), but to highlight their excellent customer service and reaction to when there is an issue with one of their products.

That it will work as expected when installed.
Purchased this thermostat to replace one that was no longer working on an Attic Fan . I had a friend complete the connection and the item is working perfectly.

Simple device that functions as it should
Used to replace a similar unit (which may or may not have failed) and an attic fan. Fan stopped working so I skipped the whole testing process and replaced both the fan and switch together. They were both original to the house and about 15 yrs old.

Hot Spot Relief
I used this unit with an attic fan to keep the attic area much cooler and take the load off the air conditioning. This is a set-it and forget-it device in an inconvenient spot, so reliability is important. This is a very simple unit so I would expect it to operate for many years. Installation is simple IF you are able to handle electrical connections safely, and competently. My order arrived within the expected time window, and was well packaged and protected from damage during shipping.

Cycles on and off every second. Temp sensor faulty?
Cycles on and off endlessly unless you manually lower the temp below the kick on temp.I was expecting a 15*F difference between kick on and kick off.Test button works fine. Runs okay if I set it at 60 in a 105* attic. Possibly a faulty unit.I have cut a hole behind the mounted unit so it has good ambient air circulation. The temp sensor on the back surface is clean, and you can hear the click switch. The on/off temp seems to be the same, kicks on, runs 1-second, then clicks off.
