The BEST book ever!
This book will NEVER be topped in term's of documenting the European graff scene. It's just epic!I might be biased as this is from my golden era of writing but for all younger writer's in Europe - BUY this book if you have any interest in your history as a writer. It will open your eye's.It really does cover every aspect of writing and writer's lifestyle's back in the 80's and 90's.....all back in the day's before mobile phone's and the internet writer's had no choice to to travel to meet writer's when writing was far more underground. This book is an amazing historical document - BUY IT NOW!!And to the author - RESPECT'S!!

All City Book Burning
I got this book in the mail today, and without a doubt this is one of, if not the-most comprehensive books on the history of graffiti on Euro soil. Personally I have been just recently diggn on the Overseas Scene/This book has already taught me things I have been Wanting to know(def's of euro graff terms and such), and I can tell that reading it is going to give me warm and fuzzys the whole time. The book is big. One could kill a raccoon with this thing. It's prob like 4lbs which is a heavy graff book. It's sorta like an Encyclopedia of European Graffiti... If sorta Like means "It is". I will have a better review up on my blog, but for the time being-this book is a collectors/connoisseurs publication, and hence the price ought not to deter those who are interested in purchasing it. I snagged it for less than 50$, which was awesome, but after receiving All City Writers--2 thumbs up on paying cover price. This could very well have been a 100$ book(of course that stretches it, but they could be charging more for it justifiably.I tend to recommend every graff book I encounter, but this one is special: It costs a lot because it is worth it 100% of the price. All City Writers is not going to be in EVERY graff collectors library, so peep it out whenever you got the chance. But if you search out books like Faith of Graffiti or if ya buy every graff book that's been released, then get this.Everyone else just think of it this way: 2 for 1!!! graffiti book/raccoon killing device. If you need sum like that, I recommend this book.real yap:5 stars I'm down. Hats off to the team who made it happen, along with Andrea Cuputo for mos definite; producing this book was obviously a Labor of Love, a HUGE undertaking that must have been tremendously difficult at times, but I'm sure it was an awesome journey, and I applaud the achievement. The states have nothing compared to the way y'all extensively compiled the 411 on this book, probably never will.PEACEBUY THE BOOK!

a rich look beyond the art
Other reviewer complained it was all text, not enough pictures. There is a lot of text and this is an oversized book, so that makes for a dense read. But that's a great thing. The world has plenty of graffiti books filled with point and click pics of trains from the 80s and 90s. But this is the only one I've found that tells the story of how a whole continent discovered an art form and ran with it, told from many voices with lots of history packed in along the way. It's exhaustive and sometimes exhausting, but what it does differently from most other books on the subject makes it special and valuable.
