It tells the story of Ally and Lisa, two women whose friendship blossoms into an emotionally riveting BDSM relationship.Allycat is the Female Dominant and Lisa is the Submissive. What I love most about Allycat is how authentic she is. Unlike other BDSM stories, we only see one side of the Dommes personality - the dominant side.What I love about Sunstone is that we got to see the different sides of Allycat. As for example, we see the funny side of Allycat, the jealous side of Allycat, we see her vulnerability, at times Allycat even comes across as insecure.Sunstone is a beautifully told story. A great collection of a brilliant comic book. I'm hoping all the future volumes come out in the same style so they will match on my bookshelf.

The quality of these hardcover books is quite something, they are also rather heavy to handle. As if thee stories it contains are something to read with attentive eyes.Beautiful art, playful and a delight to read. The story arch of the mains characters is quite relatable in these digital times.Have I mentioned the art? Mindblowing at times. Wonderful.

I've followed the series online for ages but finally decided to treat myself to a hard copy. It was money well spent as the artwork is simply stunning. If you like a good story that happens to have bondage involved, I'd highly recommend giving it a read!

Ok, as "full disclosure" I bought the original paperback graphic novels, but I have no hesitation in recommending this series for anyone from the entire QUILTBAG spectrum who would like a story with strong, likable characters, plausible friendly and romantic relationships, and a side order of kink.

Great art and wonderful story, hooked till the author calls it done.

Yeah sex is the main plot. Once you pass througth it, The book became a real relaxing trip, a very good one.

I came across Sunstone when a close friend of mine named dropped it when we were discussing underrated comics; to my surprise, I had no idea what Sunstone was about. A quick online research quickly made me interested into the story and art.Surely I must have encountered some pages of Sunstone somewhere before because Stjepan's artstyle was embedded into my memory.Book One includes volumes 1-3 and the story development is simply great! I was hooked and I couldn't stop reading, just absorbing Stjepan's lovely drawing and well-written characters. It's so fascinating because I'm personally not into BDSM; as a matter of fact, never was but after reading this.. I don't know anymore hahaha.

Ho conosciuto l'autore attraverso il sito deviantart e mi è piaciuto immediatamente lo stile e il modo in cui tratta i suoi personaggi, con umanità. Non sono supereroi, né persone perfette ma mostra la fragilità e le debolezze umane usando il bondage e il mondo BDSM, trattandolo non come una devianza o un argomento tabù ma per quello che è: citando la sua opera, "sono nerd del sesso". Non cade nel banale o nell'hard facendo vedere scene esplicite, ma ne illustra le emozioni, tutto attraverso una narrazione in prima persona di una delle due protagoniste. I suoi disegni e la colorazione è quasi alla pari di grandi artisti come Stan Lee a parer mio, ma non per questo pecca nella trama e nella struttura della storia. Il volume è in inglese - purtroppo - ed è l'edizione che contiene i primi 3 volumi della serie. la copertina è rigida e si tiene bene in mano, si apre senza problemi e le pagine sono tutte a colori e plastificate.Ottima qualità per il suo prezzo. Questa storia è tutta su deviantart, ma volevo comunque acquistare la versione cartacea per dare un "ritorno" all'autore che seguo moltissimo e da tempo...e anche per rileggerlo.
