It says that it's pure Marjoram essential oil but upon first opening it and holding it to my nose I thought they'd sent the wrong oil until I double checked the box and bottle. Marjoram oil has a very distinctive, incredibly strong scent that you almost instantly feel kick you in the sinuses and the back of the throat (it's actually really good for colds, hay fever and other sinus issues for this very reason, although there are very specific situations - particularly for women and ***especially pregnant women*** - where it's highly inappropriate to use due to other potential effects). It did eventually become apparent that this is indeed Marjoram, but it took several moments to detect this sensation and the scent remained oddly weak. I've read about and used essential oils for over thirty years by this point, Marjoram is by far the oil I personally use the most, and I've never smelt a bottle of this essential oil which is this weak before. Certainly not one which was 100% pure. Unlike some oils, there's rarely a major variation in the way Marjoram smells. Had someone asked me to blind smell test this oil and tell them what it was, my first guess would've been that it was Marjoram diluted in a carrier oil. Is that me directly accusing it of not being pure? No, I couldn't conclusively say anything from a basic sniff test other than that the scent is unusually weak for pure Marjoram. Your milage might vary but at almost £10 for 10ml it's not particularly cheap compared to more well known and established essential oil brands and so I wouldn't expect a lesser product. It arrived very quickly, fulfilled by Amazon. Although my detailed delivery instructions were completely ignored and the package was dumped in my blue cardboard recycling bin the afternoon right before the bin was due to be emptied. It's lucky I saw the delivery photo and rushed to recover it because half a day later and it would've been taken in the recycling. It's worse than simply losing the item as well, given glass, plastic and oil in the paper/cardboard bin could result in a hefty fine. Not the best of experiences, both with the product itself or the delivery of it.
