This VS the Glade version...
I have this and the beige / cream version by Glade. Both look identical, the only difference is this one is white and has a switch to turn it on and off. This one also doesn't get as hot as the Glade one, and melts my yankee candle wax melts fine - just a tad slower, WHICH I LOVE! It means the smell lingers longer and it's not too hot that I can't move it (although I'd recommend you turn them off before moving them). My Glade one gets through yankee candles like no tomorrow, they last about 4 hours. Yet in this wax melter, it's lasted a lot longer! I can even smell it the next day!But then, the recommended use is that you turn them off after about 4 hours (but I leave mine on all day). I feel like I have to turn the Glade one off because of how hot it gets - too hot to touch, and that then worries me... so I turn it off.The only negative thing about this wax burner is the actual plate moves around a bit and feels fiddly, so make sure you turn it off before you move it, or you might get a shock... although I would have thought this would be common sense. My Glade one has a negative too! it's plate is slanted slightly.. and my friend bought one the same from a big retailer and she also had a slanted plate (just means it won't burn in the middle unless you move the plate around to a good spot). So I don't think there's gonna be THE PERFECT WAX MELT anytime soon.

Does what it says
Brought this as a Christmas gift for my Sister along with a bunch of Yankee candle wax tarts and so far does a nice job. We found, you can't put the whole tart it, rather put in say half a tart, spread it around and let the unit warm up for 15 or so mins before it gets warm enough to melt the tart then relish the fragrance.Went for this unit as it has a inline built in power switch which is nice say if its on a extension lead without needing to pull it out.In all a okay unit and does what is says, just takes a few moments to warm up and get going, but on the plus side, saves having to buy candles over and over.

Looks good. Would suit a variety of decors
Purchased as gift so don't yet know how effective it is, but it looks good with a nice pattern to the pottery base. Has a seperate switch, so no need to control via the plug socket, and the lead is la good length. Arrived in excellent time (Prime!) and packaging perfect.

Nice and simple yet very effective....
Very simple white embossed wax melt warmer. Simple to set up literally straight out of the box and plug in. Added bonus is that there is an on/off switch on the cable so no need to constantly keep plugging in or out. I liked that this is smaller than some of the Yankee Candle versions as it takes up less room. Heated up wax melt very quickly and gave off strong throw. It says not to keep this unit on for more than 2-3 hours and I did make sure to turn it off then as although the dish is well made, its my opinion that its not quite as thick as some of the yankee versions and wouldn't want it to overheat. Otherwise excellent and the price makes this very attractive.Update: 01/11/17.....this burner is so good I have just bought a 2nd one!
