Works perfectly and quite no ticking
Works perfectly but people should bear in mind that its 'radio controlled atomic signal' which means that until it receives said 'radio signal' which can take an hour or two it will display an inaccurate time, it has no hand adjustment as its 'radio controlled'mine got its 'radio signal' in just under 2 hours I watched the hand sweep around the clock face until they stopped at the correct time, I checked on-line with my tablet it was correctly showing the 'exact time' the minute hand is in sync with the time signal perfectlyIts not to big or to small 8 inch / 200mm metal body and a clear glass face, the numbers are black not to big and easy to read, its heavier than I thought (1kg maybe) so all good construction not cheap plasticThe instruction advise strongly to use a 'Alkaline' battery not a re-chargeable this I believe is to guarantee no power problems from discharge as re-chargeable do as they run down and in a clock that's shows perfect time a reliable consistent battery is important (Duracell I usedhas a cut out on the upper back cover for a screw or nail to hang it on a wallvery pleased looks nice and its a super accurate clock, and silent, looking forward to many years of trouble free ownership

Sensible size, keeps time - but ticking has become very loud after 24 hours
I really needed an analogue, but silent, clock in my study. I live in a VERY quiet rural area, and had hoped that this clock might have done the job,While it doesn't tick once per second, it does tick 8 times a second - and an extra, louder, tick every 10 seconds as the minute hand moves.Yes, these are quiet, but enough to be VERY irritating in a very quiet environment. On the plus side, it's very clear, accurate (of course!) and had a really clever hook arrangement that makes it very easy to hang.I'm going to have to look at mounting it behind glass somehow.<UPDATE> Less than 24 hours later, and it has become VERY noisy. I can hear it in the next room. And, because it is a constant 8 times a second rather than once a second, it is unusable.

Clean and Smart Looking Clock
I bought this clock to replace an existing wall clock that didn't fit into my new decor of kitchen, I must admit it really does look better than the photos on here can ever give it justice. It arrived well packaged without any damage to packaging or the clock itself. It is even attached to a rigid card in its box which is over sized just incase it gets squished, a small screwdriver is supplied to remove it also. Its brushed chrome surround and its pure white face really make it standout and makes it look more expensive that it really is. On removing it from its packaging I fitted a battery and hung it up and stood back. With in minutes, it started to move the time forward and then stopped at 12 o'clock. It only took around 5 minutes to pick up the signal that is required to give it its true time. Since I placed it on the wall in my kitchen and spend a bit of time in there, I can't stop looking at it as I didn't realise how much my previous clock TICKED. the noisy bugger. It is so quiet you keep looking to make sure its not stopped. I would highly recommend anyone looking to replace your previous clock that yo give this one a well worth look.

Some idiosyncrasies but a good enough clock overall
I’ve purchased a second one of these after being very pleased with the first one. Attractively built with geo-accuracy. If using it in the kitchen the second hand could be a little easier to see but if you’re in reasonably close range or at the right angle it’s no problem. The second one was fiddlier to set up and needed quite a bit of coaxing before it would self-set at the right time. It has a strange quirk in that it re-sets daily around midnight with a loud clicking sound as the hands re-rotate until arriving back at the correct time. Amusing rather than a bother, but I can’t imagine it was intentional.

Patience needed
Looks nice, inaudible and pretty good value. Took a while to do its thing with the radio signal though. The broadcaster (MSF) website indicated that they were transmitting, but pressing the receive button twice (an hour apart) just made the hands move to 12:00 and then to 4:00 and stop. I rotated the clock by a few degrees every so often in case the aerial was in a null, to no avail, and then set it manually to 5 minutes slow and left it overnight expecting it to catch up. It was still 5 min slow the next morning, and I began to think I had a faulty one, but as it had received good reviews I gave the receive button one more press and this time after going round to 12:00 again, it tuned in, or maybe it had already tuned in during the night and stored the time data, as it updated to the right time within seconds. Hoping it will stay that way until the battery needs replacing. No more faffing about near each solstice advancing and retarding by hand.

Accurate clock let down by poor quality control
Once I installed my own battery, the clock set itself to the correct time within 10 minutes. The clock is accurate to within 2 seconds (UK time).I ended up ordering three of these clocks and sending two back. The first clock I ordered was three minutes ahead (presumably because the hands had been fitted incorrectly) and the clock face was also at an angle to the glass; it was sent back. The second clock I ordered had marks on the clock face and had to be sent back. The third clock I ordered was of an acceptable quality and has been kept.

Avoid these poorly manufactured so called 'Amms' branded clocks!
3 ordered 3returned within a week of purchase. I already have a very good silent Amms clock in the kitchen and it has worked faultlessly for more than 5 years. The ones I recently purchased were a smaller type and were for the rest of the house. They were not silent, all of them made a motorised sound of various levels and one permanently ran 2 minutes slow. They appeared to have been fitted with a cheap movement that requires them to automatically reset the time 3 times nightly at midnight 2 & 3 o'clock. I have since purchased 3 cheaper radio controlled clocks though not completely silent they have a quiet tick but are reliable.
