I replaced my Alpine ILX 407 receiver with this JVC. I am about as anal as it gets when it comes to quality sound and performance. This thing will blow you away. It has features that other receivers costing two or three times as much have. Built-in Wi-Fi, built-in wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, 13 band equalizer, and a ton of other features. The sound quality is amazing. It works with the i data link maestro devices for retaining factory settings and steering wheel controls. If you're looking for phenomenal sound and features this is the system for you. There is no need to spend two or three times more on other receivers. JVC has certainly lived up to its reputation as a high-end audio product.

I had to upgrade my head unit. I wanted android auto and a volume knob. This one had volume buttons which is about the best you get anymore. It has the touch gestures for volume, skip, back etc. They dont work when you are in android auto which is annoying. Android auto also seems to flip flop on when it will launch automatically or require me to replug my phone in. It works wirelessly via wifi which is fine but, its laggy often. The head unit has RTA, a decent 16 band EQ, sound lift, 5v preouts and 4 EQ memory slots. It's a good stereo for audiophiles. I'm happy with it and my system is really clean. One thing I will say is that JVC has this weird tendency to drop all sound randomly when listening via bluetooth. It happens on my other JVC radio and this one has done it too. Kind of annoying but, flip from FM back to bluetooth and it fixes it. Not super often but every once in a while it does it.

Bought this for my 2020 F150 and it works great ...this is my first new vehicle so adding on the ilink data and the rest of the gadetsxtoxjustxhook thus up is ridiculous can't believe you have to spend another 500.oo just to have the radio talk to the truck but no matter what stereo you buy you're going to have to buy it. .. buy the stereo works great... no issues so far other than human error whe I installed.

After only 2 months of very lite use the touchscreen stopped working. Various help sites suggest doing a factory reset which is only possible using the touchscreen. The JVC manual and site offers no guidance.
