Baby Einstein Octopus Orchestra Musical Toy, Ages 6 months +

This is for the octopus. We bought this when our son was only 2 months old. From the start it was in his playpen. At first, he would just accidentally hit one of the musical instruments and a tune would play. Eventually he gained more motor control and would purposefully hit the instruments, over and over again. He will be 20 months old tomorrow and he is playing with it as I type this review (and he has too many toys to choose from today). We have it switched to languages now and he's pushing the buttons for colors and instruments in English, French & Spanish. Years from now when I think back to his early childhood, I will think of the music this played for him, and it will bring a smile to my face.

I'm a pediatric Occupational Therapist and I bought this toy specifically for sessions with a 2 year old with Rett Syndrome (developmentally she is approximately between 3 and 6 months). This toy is incredibly motivating. She will turn her head to the side of the music and hit the buttons to make the instruments play and maintain a prone position (tummy time) when the toy is in front of her. It has been a godsend for our sessions. Older children are also enthralled by the colors, lights, and music of this toy; however it is remarkable for sustaining the attention of a child working on eye-hand coordination, visual motor skills, and for motivation. I typically do not use battery operated toys during sessions, but this one is motivating for the child and nice (more than tolerable) for the adult

I bought it for a newborn and her 1 yr old sister because it stimulates brain growth with the music and the lights are entertaining and as they grow it is very interactive and also the music is nice and calming not annoying at all !

YOU CANNOT BEAT THE PRICE when you consider the quality and ability to keep your child entertained. Wow. So glad i bought this. I use it practically every day. I bought for my 2.5month old baby and he is so captivated by it. Great for tummy time and hand coordination exercise. Also, my kid loves beating this and setting it off with his feet. He gets a real kick out of it. And its such a versatile toy i know my kid will be aying with it for years to come. Fun bright engaging cute and colorful

My wife and I saw this at Target, but out baby was very newly born so we thought it would be too early to buy something like this, well by the time she was ready they stopped carrying it. I find this and while it took over a month to get it to us, it's what I expected.Two volume options, both decent and nothing super loud, the colors and sounds are supurb, I'll be honest I bought this kind of for me. Haha it's fun to press each instrument and only that one plays, you can turn them off and on as the song goes. Or press the middle button so they all play at once. Our baby seems to like it.

Had to return and replace. The second one received worked and are very pleased with.

I got this toy after seeing that my baby loves lights and music. I wanted something that could grow with her and this does. She is able to play with it on her tummy and while sitting. Two volume levels and the speaker is in the back so it doesn't blast at her. She's been using it for a couple months now and I foresee her using it for a long time.

I love this toy! It has fun colors and lights! The songs are classic and upbeat and there are so many different songs that aren’t annoying. LolIt hold my 5 month olds attention and the buttons are easy to push. I bought it hoping it will help enhance tummy time.It has a feature where you can push one instrument button at a time and it will add in each instrument to the song. It’s fun.

Desde el primer día entretuvo mucho a mi bebé. Tiene 2 opciones de volumen. Si se presiona el botón amarillo se activa una pieza musical por si sola, si no, el bebé al presionar cada tecla o figura se activa una melodía. Si no quieren melodías se puede activar una grabación donde al presionar el bebé cada instrumento describe el nombre del mismo o el color en ingles, español y francés

horrible . the music started bugging weeks after buying and my baby had not even played it that much but still it stopped working properly very early on . its just not worth buying
