A Little House Picture Book Treasury: Six Stories of Life on the Prairie

Ridiculous that the editors put the stories out of order!!! Come on. Starts with Little House on the Prairie, jumps back to Little House in the Big Woods, then over to Little Farmer boy and then back to earlier LHitBW stories. and those too are out of order! It would have been so great to end with the building of the house on the Prairie. Instead it begins with that (the end of the story) and then finishes years earlier with Laura getting her precious doll for Christmas from LHBW . . . Also because of the mis-ordered stories, Carrie goes from being a young girl to being a baby. SILLY. There is no good reason to have them all out of order. After listening to the first two books with the my 7 and 4 year old on a road trip, they know almost all the stories which is why I bought these, so we could have short stories as bedtime books. But we spent a good deal of time talking about the bizarre editing before enjoying the illustrations and the book in general.

While I love the stories, I don’t like how big and heavy the book is. I should have spent the money and bought the 5 individual soft cover stories. Since my daughter reads them over and over, she can’t really hold this book well.

I purchased "A Little House Picture Book Treasury: Six Stories of Life on the Prairie" for a 5 year old girl. The book is beautifully made, and the images and stories hark back to the original the beloved series of books. Perfect for younger readers. Well worth the price.

My daughter absolutely loves this book! It is well written and beautifully illustrated. My only complaint (and I also read this from other reviewers) is that the stories were not arranged in any sort of order. It would be nice to have the stories arranged in chronological order.

Charming. Beautiful artwork. I read these stories to my library classes, and the children always enjoyed the story and the pictures. These stories are charming and a picture of a loving family and their impact on each other. Their experiences lived on and became part of our lives, and we are richer for it.

Bought for my 4 year olds homeschool basket for kinder. We just love little house and these books make the stories easier to digest at such a young age. Love the pictures, came on time and not damaged. Probubly one of the more expe soce books I've purchased but I knew it would be a stable in our home so I bought it.

Absolutely my favorite book we own for my (almost) 3 year old daughter. She loves the gorgeous illustrations and there are lots to look at and discuss. Its a pleasure to introduce my daughter to the world of Little House through this book.

A beautiful keepsake book to introduce the Laura Ingalls Wilder stories! These are basic stories for younger children. I got them for my five year old, and I feel that once she becomes familiar with these, we can move onto the actual books and she will be much more receptive and interested since she will have some background.

Awesome perfect love

I love it very much. I am a big fan of the Little House on the Prarie Franchise, and this was a nice collection to have of the children's books. It would be nice to have all of the other rest of Little House stories in another big book like this. I would definitely buy it.

Nice quality. Layout of stories are weird, but doesn’t bother me, we just skip through read one story not all at once.

Gorgeous little treasury! I grew up on the novels and wanted to start my girls off early, and this was perfect!
