After years of having to deal with an all-in-one printer to print pictures for my wife's scrapbooking, I finally decided to get a dedicated printer for her. Dealing with ink cartridge issues, print quality and the like it was just too frustrating.My long days of research led me to this Canon Selphy. I have been a fan of Canon printers for some time for their quality, ease of use and tech support. The innovative way it prints compared to standard ink jets was very intriguing. Comparing the cost of the cartridge/paper sets came out to a little more than what we were using but given that sometimes we spent more on ink just to get a good picture, it was worth the difference.Setup out of the box was very straight forward and simple. The unique feature of this unit is it needs no PC, just your phone. You can however print from a PC or laptop with just a few extra steps if needed. Once we got the wireless connected and the cartridge loaded, the test photo we sent came out in no time. The picture was crisp with vibrant colors and amazing detail. You can edit the pictures right in the app to get it just right for what you want. The other plus for me was you order the cartridge/paper as a set so there is no guesswork about how much is left. The cartridge is good for the quantity of paper it comes with and then you just change it out and reload it, it's that easy.Overall it was well worth it and I look forward to seeing the results in the next book my wife finishes!

The media could not be loaded. I haven't borne witness to a printer that doesn't disappoint in some way. Whether it's the sluggish back and forth of the printer heads that remind me of how much this project is going to cost in ink or the quality is lacking or the setup is cumbersome (especially the Wi-Fi). NONE of this is true with the Canon SELPHY 300. Set up was a breeze (though I was surprised that the screen wasn't a touchscreen but it wasn't a deal breaker).I downloaded the Canon SELPHY and it connected to the pictures on my iPHone and allowed me to pick one to print. And the printing is pretty magical, like nothing I've seen before. The ink is on cartridges that print what appears to be in layers, starting with Yellow, and then each color layer is piled on and all in a matter of under a minute. I am so excited to share my pictures with my friends, the pics come out dry!!At this price, it's a practical addition to your photographic world!
