First Time Purchase
So I have used Jan Marini or Skinceuticals FOREVER - but the face washes are pricing me OUT! So I went looking for something comparable, and found this. The reviews were great but I was curious about the % of glycolic acid in this vs JM. As it turns out, JM also uses a 12%glycolic acid in their gel face wash! I just rcvd this item, and I will use it for a couple of days and come back to let ya'll know how good it is. I am excited to try it! Its HALF the price! EDIT: One use and I can tell the difference in my skin! I am accustomed to actives like glycolic acid and retina/ol so I had no stinging, YMMV. I am 100% impressed with this, texture improved on one use (I have been out for a few weeks and used regular cleansers) I can feel the difference. Is it POSSIBLE its less strong than JM, maybe? But my face can't tell and for me, its not as drying. It took a nickel size to do my face and neck. I always rub it in my skin without water first, than wet my hands and massage my face and neck. Will purchase again.

My miracle product
Claridad is literally a miracle product. This is the first review I have ever written. I felt I needed to share my experience with others who also have been struggling with adult acne. I’m 38 and I’ve struggled with rosacea and cystic acne my whole life. I’ve tried so many products from proactive to rx meds. And those products sometimes worked but nothing really made drastic improvements. This product has actually changed the biology of my skin and made it feel and young & clear. Now I do not have sensitive skin. And I can’t imagine who with years of acne struggles could. I’ve trained my skin to withstand acids and aggressive treatments. But I did still start with just a tiny bit of claridad cleanser and only left on for a few seconds. My skin maybe was a bit sensative the first few times. But after about a week I could use generously. I use the cleanser 2 times a day and try to massage on for several minutes. Once washed off I’ll put on plenty of non-pore clogging moisturizer. And then the claridad hydrogen peroxide treatment. It took about 2 weeke to see improvement. And now after 3 months, I have zero acne, most of my scars have drastically dominished and my skin feels soft and young. I highly recommend this product!!

Good for exfoliation
I have very sensitive skin so I was cautious to make this purchase. However, I had a blemish that was buried too deep and I couldn't get it to come to a head to drain it. So I needed a strong exfoliant. The first time I used it I felt a little tingling in general and a tiny bit of soreness at the corners of my eyes and mouth. I applied a Cera Ve moisturizing cream and it subsided quickly. I continued to use it once daily being sure to rinse well and moisturize. After a few days, I stopped feeling any irritation. Note that these are the only dry areas of my face the rest tends to be extremely oily. So, perhaps the reviewers who had extreme sensitivity to this product have very dry skin. After about two weeks the blemish I called my "unicorn horn" dried up enough that I could peel off the dead skin and drain it. I've also used it on other bumpy areas of my body skin and it helps with that, also. I have seborrheic dermatitis, a condition that causes scaly patches and lesions. I hoped this product might be useful for keeping that under control, too. So far, it does seem to help. I have some other milia, calcium deposits and a couple of ingrown hairs I'm hoping this face wash will help resolve over time. And now that I've made myself sound like I have ogre skin... bottom line, this is a good product for exfoliation of the skin. Just be sure to rinse well and moisturize. It may be too harsh for very dry skin.

Can’t live without
UPDATE:::: I had my skin resurfaced bc of some acne scars from high school. I have had a rough healing post-lasering. I used this facewash, and it did an amazing job at the turnaround. How to use properly? Wash your face as you normally do, using as warm water as you can tolerate to open your pores. Wash a 2nd time using a facial brush in a circular motion all over my face. Gentle around my eyes, the bridge of nose, hairline, and neck. I can let it sit because my skin type is not sensitive. I wash off and have a remarkable slough off of dead cells from my face, hyperpigmentation, and even out my skin tone. I am more than happy with. In the comments, I see a lot of people not using this product correctly and complaining about it. Please use a test patch if you can't tolerate stronger stuff. This is some of the highest % OTC one can get The area under the eyes is very sensitive for some. So don’t apply an acid wash to it. Pls use safety, common sense when it comes to your body. Treat it like a temple so to speak. Ppl who have sensitive skin? Shouldn’t be using this as a whole face wash, try a patch of skin first. If it’s not working out? The product isn’t “bad,” you are not a person who can tolerate stronger skin care? okay! You still have options ;) need something else *deal with a dermatologist, not a regular PCP unless they are skin geeks I have left it on my face for hours, slept in it, used it 2 times a day, and no irritation. This is a great product. You are using an acid. Know the science behind it or don’t use any! It’s your body. Be educated in how to use the products you’re buying. *Get educated. Lots of YouTube videos on “how to” it u need some visuals 🙂

Works fine.
As a face wash, this works fine. It does have glycolic acid as an ingredient, but not the main ingredient as it states. Also, on the bottle, there is no mention of 12% glycolic acid, or any percent at all. It is a "fine" face wash, but I do not think it does anything that it claims.

3YRS strong & only 1 complaint!
My only complaint is the length of time it takes for shipping, & the price. • It would be nice to see this product drop in price or run special promotions like buy one get one. • As for the shipping that’s the most frustrating! Sometimes when I order this it takes nearly 2 weeks to arrive and is supposed to be a prime product, which baffles and irritates me. I do not blame the product, nor solely Claridad for this, but I do think that the company should perhaps look into preventing this from occurring. **I have been a consistent & loyal customer for glycolic acid face wash for 3 years now. I can say that I also have hypersensitivity to specific types of glycolic acid. Mostly because my natural pH levels lean more on the acidic side than most females. • This is one of my favorite products and has never caused any irritation issues. I cannot say that for the benzoyl peroxide though. • It’s a standard staple in my shower & in my face care routine. -Tips & Usage; * I apply Glycolic Acid face wash in a 50/50 combination with CerVe oily skin face wash. I use this combo on my face & body. Even if you don’t have backne it works wonders for the appearance of your skin in general. Last year I had this strange backne outbreak that lasted a few months. I also was awaiting a shipment from Claridad that ended up taking nearly a month. However, once I got the stuff I cleared up this random Backne issue with the above stated combo in a matter of about 7weeks. Since then I have used this in my entire body and have never had any other issues. OVERALL; I would recommend, advocate, & re-purchase this product time and time again. **Unless they change the formula**

Ah, hormones... My thirties were a ten year period of blissfully clear skin flanked by awful teenage acne to this WTF IS THIS of perimenopause. Chin cysts. Neck cysts. Ear cysts. Cysts in my contour spots. Clogged pores, whiteheads and wrinkles... oh my! Enter 10,000 different products ranging from Sunday Riley and SK-II to folk remedies like black salve and sacrificing a baby lamb while spinning three times under an oak tree in the pale moonlight. Nothing worked. Until I saw a dermatologist who, besides charging me $400 for a laser facial that didn't work, said these magic words: find yourself a medical grade cleanser with at least 10% glycolic acid. Oh, and here's my collection of Skinceuticals which will cost you almost as much as your son's semester at college... So what did I do? I went to my trusty Amazon search. I'm a pro at this, I know how to weed out the paid reviews. I read what people have to say about this cleanser or that cleanser. Then I come across this page. Hmmm.... never heard of this brand, but at the cost and for what people are saying? What do I have to lose? It's now two months since I have been using Claridad once per day every day faithfully. NO MORE CYSTS. (ok well maybe one or two occasionally, but NOTHING like I had before). I tell my son to use it, who has teenage acne. His clears up. My skin looks like a baby's bottom. For real. Please buy this so they never stop making it, or I will have to go to each of your homes and threaten you with bodily harm. Just kidding. Maybe. But if you are suffering from the fresh hell that is the flank years (teenage acne or perimenopausal GAAAAAAAAH) this cleanser will be your best friend forever.
