The unit was easy to install, and works great. i did have to replace the snap ring on the waterline., but customer service was very good about helping me.

Thank God I was home icemaker was working well until I heard water. I was assuming that it was just making you ice water but when I walk into my bar area it’s flooded out cleaned up the water got everything moved out, brought it to the garage and took off the back, cover until my surprise as you see in the photos. This is what I found, the gauge on this hose is very thin and as you see it is sliced opened. On another note, if you look at the photos, you’ll see how they zip tied all the electrical and this waterline all together. Not sure if that’s safe or not specially since we have it next to the heater coil , anyway trying to get a hold of company to get a replacement. I’ve only had this unit since March 2023. That being said not looking for a replacement hose I’m looking for a new unit please Contact!

I researched a lot of machines before picking this one based on the good reviews. I live in SWFL and we use A TON of ice pretty much year round. I put this in my laundry room. Tapped into the water line for the washer. I got one of the little electric drain pumps and routes it to the washer drain. It makes a lot of ice quickly and quietly. Holds maybe 25 or so pounds. It does tend to shut off as ice holds down the cutoff lever prematurely. It would also be nice of the drain simply rerouted to the intake and would recirculate the melt water instead of wasting it. I bought bags and have bagged 200 pounds of ice so I am way ahead. Very happy with the machine so far.

I'm actually writing after buying two of these units. The first one leaked horribly from the drain spout connected to the ice bin. I contacted Gilati, and they offered to send me a repair kit, but I declined becuase I stated that I shouldn't have to fix something that's brand new. Because the size of the unit, the ice adjustment feature and production level of this unit was perfect, we took a chance and bought a second one after sending the first one back.Low and behold, the second leaked from the same place though not as bad. This time I just bit the bullet, took the back off and repaired it with some flex seal. There was a little bit of water leaking somewhere else, but that seems to have stopped on its own.I just wrote Gilati to let them know and to register for our warranty with them so we'll see how it goes. Even though the quality control is frustrating, their customer service has been quite responsive and concerned about making things right.

Inside unit that makes ice was completely unbolted on arrival. Had to take back and top covers off unit to put the bolts back. Flap for ice maker constantly stays open so every-time it makes ice the unit shuts off. I have to manually close the flap. Need to break ice no matter what thickness you choose for the ice. Its more inconvenient than I thought it would be.After 1 week of making ice, float unit in machine having issues. Tuis float unit dictates the amount of water in the bowl for the pump. I have to giggle the float to get a good flow of water to start pumping.Better off with ice trays. Less work and so much cheaper.Very very disappointed.

Exactly what I needed. I had ordered a counter top ice maker but returned it for this one. I can make 1 bag of ice in about a hour. The set up was amazingly easy. And using the machine is even easier. I use this to fill my cooler for work.

After many attempts, the ice machine is now working! The machine makes a lot of ice in a short time! We look forward to having ice readily available during our pumpkin patch and other family gatherings!
