5 Original Albums

I didn't know a lot about Rainbow but bought the CD because I like the work of Ritchie Blackmore. A good move - I frequently play this CD nowadays.

Always been a fan of rainbow got this set cause they all great albums had a couple on vinyl

Bought this set as I wanted the brilliant Down to Earth on CD but for not a lot more money I could get the extra four albums. Also it was a good way to listen to some of their later stuff as I sort of missed Straight Between the Eyes and Bent out of Shape when they were originally releasedas I wasn't keen on the more commercial direction they seeemed to be taking. Glad I did as both good albums, perhaps I have mellowed in my old age! If the set had included the Rising album instead of one of the later ones it would have got 5 stars but sadly not. Packaging is minimal with no frills but for the money acceptable. Good range of Rainbow's music over the years from the magnificant Dio days up to Joe Lynn Turner and what was their last album for a few years.

This brought back memories of them when they were at their peak.Great albums, great songs and great music.Listen to this collection to realise that there is more to Rainbow than Since You've Been Gone.Fantastic!

Does what it's supposed to do, BOC at there best, can't say anything else but awesome.

5 albums covering the whole spectrum of rainbow. but the best ones are with Dio singing. although Rainbow Rising (with stargazer) isn't here, you still get Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow (temple of the king, catch the rainbow, man on the silver mountain), and Long Live Rock & Roll ( title track, LA connection, the shed etc) which are still classics. delivered in a couple of days as well. great service.

80's Heavy Rock at it's best. The transition over the five discs beautifully defines the drift away from Dio's rainbows and wizardry to Joe Lyn Turners more MOR approach, beautifully bridged by the brilliant Graham Bonnet in the middle. Blackmore's guitar sparkles throughout. This set is wonderful showcase highlighting one of the greatest guitarists and three vocalists of the genre.

À compléter avec le cultissime Rainbow Rising en version deluxe (remaster & remix).

Like many great bands, I started by getting a compilation, but wanted to hear more from Ritchie Blackmore and company, so first picked up 'Bent out of Shape' and the last record 'Stranger in Us All' with Doogie White.I then bought this even though it has 'Bent out of Shape' for the other four records since it was a fantastic deal.Yeah, you do not get the Dio sung 'Rainbow Rising', but you do get two other Dio records, one Graham Bonnet, and the two Joe Lynn Turner sung records. I like tolisten to them all. Graham Bonnet's 'Down to Earth' is my favorite with 'Bent out of Shape' a close second and then Dio's work. But many people prefer Dio. There are no liner notes, but you get the 5 cds in cardboard sleeves with the original album art. Hours of great music to listen to for anyone that likes melodic rock. Enjoy.
