Perfect for travelling
Perfect for traveling. Simple and easy to use, and compact and ultra light weight. It’s not the most strongest, but strong enough considering the size and weight. Highly recommend it.

Artificial Comfort!
My wife and I live in northern Utah where it's mostly dry and the elevations go over 12,000'. This causes a unique interaction with the sun. This might sound a little flaky but its heat is more like a laser beam than an oven. But what if there were a way to block the laser beam? What if, even on the hottest days, you could pull some small device out of your backpack, deploy it like a shield and relax in the force field that you've created. This is not a sci-fi fantasy. It's an umbrella. Yeah, you could probably get similar results with any piece of overhead shade but this things is built to block UV rays, it's super light weight, super small and looks high tech. The following attributes are not flaws but necessary concessions of the design. It can flip inside out in even light winds. The fabric storage condom (?) is just barely big enough if you carefully roll the umbrella. The size of the canopy is just enough for one person or two if you've hugging. The height of the canopy is just enough. If these are deal breakers, buy the bigger heavier model. I've used them and they are super nice despite the weight and size penalty. Quick story before I close. We hiked Frary Peak last Saturday with some friends. The weather was nice but by the time we reached the summit, everyone was hot and ready for some water. Like most mountains out here, there's not one scrap of shade anywhere. My wife and I snuggled under our little canopy and enjoyed our snacks in complete comfort. I'm sure it made our friends sick to see us but they know where to order one.

Lightweight & Durable Enough, just sun protection might be questionable.
Love how lightweight this is, cannot rave enough about it. And it's great in the sudden rain showers (but do beware it flips super easily in the wind, so just keep the umbrella towards the wind or whatever.) And not just light drizzles, used it through a pouring rain too (hasn't broken yet). Sun protection is where I'm deducting a star. I'm usually not even that scared of the sun and i do see I'm shaded and feel cooler under it, so I don't even know why I would be slightly burned (skin reddish and itchy, not peeling or anything) the few times I used this out under the sun without sunscreen. Maybe I'm getting the UV reflected from other sources and not directly from the sun? Is that even possible? Anyway, overall, for the sale price, if this umbrella does break one day, I would say I already got my money's worth and would buy again.

Great Idea, but didn’t work
I purchased two for a hike for me and my son. I loved how light and compact this was ~ for great in our pack. I used one time for a few minutes on the trail bc it was exposed and temps were heating up. The wind blew and flipped the umbrella inside out. I messed with it for a few more minutes and i never could get it worked out. Super disappointed. The temps were 100 degrees plus and I ended up getting overheated. I was able to return one unused but our trip was a few days outside the return window…if the company would still be willing to send a refund I’d appreciate it.

Perfect for hiking :)
Super lightweight umbrella that works wonderfully while I'm hiking and backpacking to keep the sun/rain off of me. It's also really nice that it doesn't take up hardly any space in my pack. I wish it came in lighter colors. It seems a touch fragile, but I protect it pretty well and haven't had any issues. If you're a backpacker looking for a great piece of UL gear, this is a fantastic umbrella.

Too minimal
Very lightweight and portable, but it got damaged from a slight breeze ( the air seemed still!) This just doesn't handle any kind of air movement. It might work indoors. I thought I'd take backpacking and hiking, but the thing is already too deformed and broken. A friend had another kind of umbrella from this brand that worked great as a hiking sun shield, so I think they just went too minimal for this model. Very poor durability.

Very light and small - just what I needed to fit into purse - love it.

It weighs very little and fits in your pocket or purse!
This umbrella has two great virtues: it is small and it is lightweight. My other umbrellas are more sturdy, and they probably resist going inside out in the wind a little more, but this one takes the prize for not being annoying to take with me as a talisman to ward off the rain. I bought the medium blue, and I like that it is unobtrusive but not black. The fabric is lightweight but not flimsy. You have to open and close it in the old-fashioned way, which in my book is a plus. A similarly lightweight umbrella I had had for years bit the dust not long ago, and I am very pleased that I could get a worthy replacement.
