Large "toddler friendly" size with fun hand-drawn art style
This is a fun little memory game with great style and well designed durability - the essentials for a game that's great for kids! The first thing that caught my eye with this game was the size of the cards - a pleasant surprise. Although the box does have an "actual size" image on it, I wasn't quite of sure of the scale just based on the product listing photos. The cards are nicely sized for easy interaction, making them perfect for the target 3+ age range. The hand-drawn are stye is fun and approachable, as is the unique acorn card shape. The entire stylized look makes the game very visually appealing, and really adds an element of fun to what could be an otherwise simple game. The set has a cohesive feel that conveys a sense of quality, and speaks to the thought that went into the product design. That same quality extends to the durability of the cards, and the thick compressed-cardboard material that they're printed on.It's a kit that's easy to travel with, and the nature of the game allows for both solo and family oriented styles of play.

Our Favorite Memory Game
Like most families with small children, we have several different memory games. Most of ours are playing cards and another is a set of small wooden tiles. Then there's this game, which has 3" x 3" (standard post-it note size), super thick 3/16", pressed board acorns. Seriously these memory tiles are durable! My boys, ages 4 and 5 have wrecked pretty much every playing card memory game we have because they fold and tare so easily. And they always wreck the boxes trying to put the cards back into them, so we end up losing several cards. The box this game comes in is probably one of the nicest quality boxes I've ever seen a game come in, aside from those that come in tins. The box is laminated pressed board, about the same thickness as the acorns, and it even has a magnetic flap closure! I love that this won't get crushed in our game cabinet when others are stacked on top of it or if we bring it along on a trip. It's also really nice that our young kids can easily open and close the lid so they can play this with each other without any help from us. Lastly, I am surprised at how much my kids actually play this game! They played our other ones maybe 3 times and haven't touched them since. We've had this game for 3 months now and it still gets played weekly!

Forest themed memory game is peaceful and cute
Pros:—really cute theme—very stylized illustrations (may be a pro or con depending on your personal taste)—neutral, relaxing colors—nice thick chipboard—surface of tiles feels smooth but not slick—nice to have a cognitive game without screen time—each card includes label of what the images represent (e.g. "twig")—tidy presentation, clean tiles and box with no paper shredsCons:—some of the tiles have very dark brown or green backgrounds and ALSO dark images that don't contrast well, so this isn't a low-light game—some of the labels are pretty teeny tiny—the sides aren't sealed, so eventually these will start to peel and show wear if they are handled roughlyFinal thoughts:This is a very cute set. It would make a nice gift from baby showers to birthdays, and I could see it being one that grandparents would enjoy playing with their littles for quality time. Remember that with memory games like these, there are other variations you can try:For littlest players, you can place the tiles with the images facing up and simply make it a visual matching game without the memory component. For older kids, you can add in a little bit of a reading component with the labels, which are mostly easy words to sound out.And for even older kids, they could practice spelling words out before checking to see if they have the right tile. You can also use them for eye spy or go fish type games with a little imagination. :)

Cute and durable memory game.
My almost 4 year old has gotten into playing board games so when I am buying games for her there are 3 things I look for. 1) aesthetically pleasing/cute, 2) simple yet challenging game play and 3) durability. This memory game met all three.I love the jungle theme of this memory game. Each card is shaped like a leaf and has a drawing of a jungle animal or insect. The drawings are simple but adorable. Game play is very simple, if you grew up playing memory as a kid you already know how to play. If not you just shuffle the cards, place them face down and take turns flipping two at a time over trying to find a matching pair. It's challenging for kids because they have to pay attention, concentrate and use their memory to play the game. As for durability the cards are thicker and sturdier than most game cards. The thicker cards actually great for little hands to easily flip over. My child is a little behind on fine motor skills and the thicker cards are helpful for her. The flipping and picking up cards is a great activity for exercising those fine motor skills. I feel this game is great if you are looking for something to help your little with their fine motor skills in addition to their memory skills.
