Way better tool the the cheaper older version! I love to get to use this tool to show off how easy and effective this tool works

I purchased this to fix a few snaps on my boat's upholstery. Here are the pros and cons: PROS: The clamp tool itself is decent quality and works well. It came with two sets of dyes (one set is a spare). It is really nice to have a case as well to keep everything together. I have tried all three dyes and they work well. The instructions provided are adequate as well. CONS: The snaps provided are not heavy duty. They are the same size (snap diameter) as the snaps on my boat but definitely lighter weight. The snaps do not hold well at all, and it takes very little force to pull a locked snap apart. I removed one star for the snap quality. I'll need to purchase better snaps to get the quality needed for most applications.

So far it’s five stars! Came out of the box with simple instructions and just as described in the product description. The vice grip is basically the same quality as a Harbor Freight item, not terrible but not great. For this job it’s more than enough. I bought this to get the leather convertible cover in place on my 69 Cadillac. I must say it had to have taken me a mere hour and fifteen to to the ENTIRE JOB! The snap install was simple and quick and the screw in place male end was exactly what I needed. There’s a lot of options available so picking this one the fact I could have the next morning and hopefully do the job before I took the car out, I gotta say, it was here by 8am and I even had time to cool off after completing the job 👍👍👍👍👍 A++

Works great. Using for vinyl RV skirting. I bought a roll of vinyl this product and some extra screw in snaps. I saved $1200 by DIYing it.

Perfect snap kit for my needs. Applied a dozen snaps without issues. Solid product, easy to use. Quite pleased!

This product seems to be wearing very well. No rust problems. Used to make a pontoon boat cover and it did a great job.

This tool worked perfectly to add snaps to some custom covers I had made for my pontoon seats. The snaps that came with the kit fit tightly over the snaps that I already had on my boat.
