Crompton Firelamp is of rough service construction and is vacuum-type sprayed with a red fade-resistant lacquer, that gives a warm fire-glow light effect. Suitable as a replacement lamp in many domestic gas and electric fires, it can also be used alongside fluorescent and harder white lamps to give a softer/warmer illumination.
