I don't know if I didn't pay attention to the reviews or just fell for the cute and varied styles, but I think I was really surprised how small they are! I can still use them and I will keep them, but hope this helps you to make a decision. I didn't want anything too heavy either, so they will probably work out fine. I wanted these for "pinning" long silk scarves for a professional environment, not hijabs. I cannot speak to their appropriateness for hijabs. Good luck!

These designs are really nice but if you’re looking for hijab magnets that will hold all day long then these are not it. I did pair it with some of my other hijab magnets and it works fine like that but alone by it’s self, I don’t think it does much of a good job.

The magnets are very strong! But once you get some fabric in between them, it doesn't take much to persuade them apart, as they are so small. They make nice scarf decorations, or to keep it pinned to your shirt so it doesn't get in the way, but it won't keep closed for say, a trip to the grocery store.
