The book is absolutely stunning, though some of the photographs go across the centre it is still a very complete collection of David Yarrow's work, not just featuring his wildlife photography but also people, tribes and communities from all over the world.Within the photographs is also insightful and interesting text spoken by David, revealing his experiences and thoughts about the photographs and everything that goes into the work.I think this is a book not only for fans and admirers of his work, but it will also be of interest and value to anyone who wishes to learn and see more about the world we live in and the many different cultures.Printed and published with exceptional quality (the hard cover beneath the dustjacket is embossed) this book is one to be treasured for many years.

The most stunning book! A truly wonderful book that I shall always treasure. The expert photography and the way David Yarrow has managed to capture these amazing animals in their natural habitat took my breath away! Everyone should look at this book to be reminded of how special and magnificent our wildlife is and of how we should praise the conservation work carried out around the world. In particular David Yarrow captures one photograph in South Africa of the medical team attending to Hope, the rhino that was chased down and savagely attacked by poachers! It is a powerful photograph and it made me cry as it is utterly heartbreaking! At the same time it is a necessary photograph which highlights the devastation caused by poaching! This photograph should be used in education to work towards putting a stop to the horrendous act of poaching across many species of animals.

I am a big fan of David Yarrow and his photography and so enjoyed the photos in this book

Photographic skill pushing the technical boundaries in a natural and sometimes dangerous environment while capturing the true essence of what it takes to visit wild life in the natural world. Much has been done here to open up the natural world with a completely different perspective with many close up encounters that are breathtaking. A photographic bench mark that will be difficult to surpass and a visual record that should be treasured not only as a classic work but a view of wild life that is stunningly beautiful whilst highlighting what is rapidly disappearing.

Great photos, amazing angles, a must have if you like animal photography. Love this book and it's also a nice piece of decoration in any living room.

Beautifully produced, with some stunning photographs, I was a bit disappointed to learn that a number of the especially good pictures were actually montages, it's not clear on skimming through the book which is real and which is manipulated. Excellent coffee table book, only let down by not knowing what's real and what's not, however the quality is superb.

I gave the one book. To my daughter for her 25 th birthday, the other I am saving for a Christmas gift I think. She loved it... I was very happy I could get it for her...thank you.

Powerful, high contrast (almost entirely) black and white images. If I have any complaint, the paper could be a bit weightier, but still a wonderful book at the £32.50 price point.

I’m embarrassed to admit that this is my first coffee table book purchase EVER. I own plenty of books, but have never invested in a coffee table book because, well, I haven’t had a coffee table in years. We’ll say I’m embracing minimalism. I could not have chosen a better coffee table book to start my collection. The images are breathtaking, and the book is the ultimate focal point in the room. I purchased this at a discount. I have to say it was an absolute steal.

Purchased this book as a gift for dad. We sat on the couch together on Christmas Day—awed at these images. Great purchase, great memory.

Espectacular. Gracias al tamaño del libro y a la calidad de los originales y de la impresión, las fotografías ganan mucho respecto a las versiones en internet, incluso vistas en gran pantalla. Transmiten una sensación distinta. Las que están a doble página se ven perfectamente gracias a la encuadernación (aunque la verdad, me da miedo de que con el uso se estropee). Muy bien organizado, con breves historias de cómo se tomaron las fotos. Algunas están preparadas con animales semi-domesticados. Las imágenes son muy variadas, de distintas zonas del planeta. Unas cuantas, también magníficas, están dedicadas al homo sapiens. Lo especial de casi todas las fotos es el punto de vista muy cercano al sujeto, que permite reflejar su personalidad y dar la impresión al lector de estar allí mismo.
