Great little tablet
I bought this tablet to take on holiday in order to keep on top of email, to entertain our six year old and to take photos and video. On all three counts the tablet excelled. The little `un had a happy holiday using it to watch films in the car- it will now replace our more bulky portable DVD player.I have loads of reasonable quality holiday snaps and some great panoramic photos of scenery (I got a bit obsessed with the Pano setting)And I didn't come home to an inbox of thousands of emails.I was attracted to the fact that it has both 3g and Wi-Fi but I must confess I haven't made much use of the 3g yet as everywhere we went we were able to find adequate free Wi-Fi connections. When I have tested the 3g, it is slow to load pages but I am 99% certain that is to do with the limitations of 3g and my phone provider rather than an issue with the tablet itself. It is there as a handy back up.I would caution one thing. Whilst the user manual is clear and concise, there is a mistake on page 15 where it says that sim cards need to be mounted with the contacts facing the front of the tablet. This isn't so- the contacts face the back. This caused me a fair bit of frustration at first as I did not want to ram the card in incorrectly. Easily sorted by a call to Cambridge Sciences technical support. What else? OK, some Apps freeze or won't load correctly- again, not sure this is a problem with the tablet rather than the apps themselves.Sometimes the browser also freezes for a few seconds and puts up a `not responding' message. This usually clears quickly and isn't really a problem. The battery life is reasonable at around 3 hours when in use- playing music, videos etc. and the unit charges back up again very quickly from the mains adapter and much more slowly with the in-car adapter. It appears that the tablet must be switched on (or at least in standby) to charge though. Learning curve. The touch screen works fine with my stubby fat fingers but does not respond at all when I try to use a stylus (because of the aforementioned stubby fat fingers). Is this to be expected? I just don't know enough about tablet technology to be sure.Overall I am really pleased with this purchase and would reccommend to others.

Problems...
Whilst this initially seemed a great buy, there are a few things to consider before purchasing:β’ I've used it to playback music from YouTube over WiFi whilst connected to a charger, and I found that the battery drain was greater than its ability to charge, so it would eventually run out of power even though it's charging. This has limited my use of this.β’ In the bright sunshine of summer, the screen is almost impossible to see.β’ Due to an unfortunate accident, the screen of mine became cracked. It really is a pretty simple thing to change the screen out on a tablet and you'll find that replacement screens are available for many other tablets out there along with detailed tutorials and YouTube videos, but a replacement screen for this tablet is not readily available. After contacting the company for a replacement screen, I was told that they will not supply one and I would have to send back my tablet to them, unlocked, so they can fix it. I could have replaced the screen and had my tablet up and running in under a week had a replacement screen been available for purchase. This is something that has been a problem for me but might not be as much for others. There are many other tablets out there with easily available replacement parts unlike this one.β’ I couldn't get a sim to work with it either despite being on the phone with T-Mobile for nearly 2 hours.β’ Old version of Android which will never be upgraded, so limits your choice of apps.β’ Started to add a load of basic apps for it - only a small set - and before long it was full! Very disappointing. To be honest, I have completely given up on this tablet and have moved on. I will get myself another one at some point, but not one of these and not one from Cambridge Sciences.

Buy one, you are unlikely to be disappointed.
I bought two of these, one each for my wife and myself. For the price, I wasn't really expecting anything too spectacular, so I was pleasantly surprised that it was much better than expected. The screen is very responsive, more so than some big name brand ones we've tried. Sharp and clear image, excellent colour contrast, and two, yes two 3G SIM slots. It can be used as the largest mobile phone on the market, although it would be a bit awkward holding it up to your ear for very long :-D It is certainly convenient for mobile internet access though. The main reason having two SIM slots is so you can have SIM cards from two different mobile companies fitted, so if you can't get a signal on one, you can try the other. I just use a single SIM on the '3' network, using their pay as you go 3-2-1 service, which is great as data is only 1p per meg, and your 'talk time' never expires, whereas with every other mobile service, any talk time not used up after 30 days is cancelled. With 3-2-1, you can put a tenner on it, and only use it when you need it without worrying about losing money :-)Put a load of movie files and some MP3 music files on a microSD card, and you have a complete media centre in your hands. Movies play really smoothly, and music is clear, but could do with being a little louder. This is only one thing that lets it down slightly, and this is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. The sound, although clear, is a bit on the quiet side. There are no speaker holes in the case, so with internal speakers, this reduces the amount of sound you can hear. There is a headphone socket, however, and using headphones certainly helps the audio problem, but don't expect to blow your eardrums out with headphones, as the sound level is never going to match your car stereo! At the price, though, I can't really complain, and I can thoroughly recommend it as it won't break the bank!
