I'm loving this Series
I'm really enjoying this Series. I loved Zeke, the gentle giant! After being injured in Iraq and suffering a head injury he is now left scarred and he stutters due to his brain injury. When he goes to a bar with some of the other guys he meets the owner Ember and they are both instantly attracted to one another. After going to the bar most Saturdays, Zeke is worried when Ember hasn't been there for a few days. When he sees what has happened to her he wants to protect her. I liked that the author made this story about PTSD but that it was Ember's father who was suffering from it showing that it can live with the person for many years. As with John in the previous story, Zeke has his insecurities owing to his injuries and scars but the author is giving these men wonderful women that look beyond the mens injuries and see the man within. If I had one criticism it's that they fall in love within a week but because it's part of a series, I know we will catch up with this couple again within the continuing storyline. In this book we get to read more about John and Shannon and their progressing relationship. The author is setting up Duncan's storyline but I was pleased that there was a teaser at the end for Chad's story which will be next and I look forward to reading it.

Not quite as good as the first in the series but still a good read. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
This second in the series is Zeke and Ember's story. Both appear in the first book in the series so this would be best read in order although there are no cliff-hanger endings involved. The story is well told and the issue of PTSD and the consequences are dealt with well, and with a light enough touch not to become preachy or overwhelm the romance at the heart of the book. I like that although the central characters are the main focus, around them others from the first book are also developing and moving forward with their lives, which helps enhance the sense of real lives being lived. This author gives a real sense of the place and people. My only quibble is the speed with which the relationship develops which didn't quite feel believable, and the ending felt rushed. However I have the rest of the series lined up and ready to read and am looking forward to it. Bring it on.

Embattled Minds (Lost and Found series) by J M Madden.
Oh what an inspiring novel. A lump formed in my throat on many occasions during this read. This author has shown a side to the after affects of war that many of us don't want truly understand, and even hold at bay, mainly I think as the news coverage on TV frightens us ridged that we just tune out. But this author has brought the needs of those injured in war to us in a much gentler way, I loved this book and am so pleased I read it. I am now reading another in this series about Chad who is also in this novel. A must read for anyone who loves a story about 'against the odds' situations, and loves a good cry and laughs with the characters. Although fiction, its based on whats really happening out there in this big world of ours as pointed out in the front of the book. Loved it. Thank you J M Madden for bringing this side of life to us in a this novel.

Really enjoying this series
Book2 and still enjoyable. This is Zeke's story, he is the 6ft 6in Viking that Ember falls in love with the first time he enters the FrogDog bar that she co owns with her father. But Zeke whilst attracted to Ember doesn't think his Frankenstein face will get him anywhere, in the past women have pitied him and walked away. The only people that stay around are his brothers from LMF.

GREAT CHARACTERS
I loved this short story, Zeke Foster is a giant of a man 6' 6" badly scarred with a brain injury, he's in need of plenty of TLC. But most people shy away from him, not only because of his size but his scars make people wary of him. But Ember Norton who jointly owns a bar with her father sees beneath all that and is attracted to Zeke.Every now and again I read something that just feels right, and this feels very right. It's emotional, touching and a very satisfying read. Can't wait to read the next book in the series at the Lost 'N' Found agency.

Outstanding, emotional & powerful!
I have really enjoyed this book, having read the prequel and the first in the series I was compelled to get the next in the series and it was well worth it!The author has a real talent for character development and story telling; the reader is invested from the outset of the book in the future of a group of remarkable individuals and those who love and support them!Definitely worth a read, recommended to all lovers of romance novels and supporters of the military personnel and the work / sacrifices they do.

Fantastic series
This is the second book in the series and focuses on Zeke and Ember. Zeke struggles with sentences after suffering a brain injury that left him with lots of physical scars, but feels a connection with Ember who see's him for who he is under the traumas of war. Ember has her own emotional scars but Zeke is the perfect protector for her.A beautiful love story and great to catch up with some of the other charactes we have grown fond of. A brilliant series.
