I have all of Colin tribes songbooks. His music notation is exceptional with no mistakes. He is the only author that I have come across with perfect notation

Colin had done another terrific finger style for ukulele book. If you want to learn finger style ukulele, or already play, this is a must get book, along with his other similar finger style ukulele books.

I've Colin's three books American, English and Irish Folk Tunes for Ukulele and they are consistently brilliant. I use them for my VCM Ukulele grade exams and the pieces are perfect for study. As you progress earlier pieces are great for sight reading. That said even if you are not taking grades and just want them for fun they are beautifully arranged and Colin's playing on the accompanying CDs is wonderful to listen to.The pieces do take a bit of work to get right but are well worth the effort.If he brought out a similar book of South American/Spanish Music I'd be first in the queue....... So Colin if you read the reviews there's a hint...

The book itself is fine - some pieces are quite challenging, and not written in such a way as to be easy to play, but worth the effort to master. The melodies are properly fingerstyle and not just a single plucked melody line, which is much more interesting than other 'fingerstyle' books which are often just that. Rating reduced because the book arrived creased and dirty (not from the delivery - the other book in the parcel was fine). I have no objection to buying second hand, and don't feel a need to return this as it is quite legible - but it is irritating.
