Teenagers would love to read them
Enid Blyton is one of my very favorite authors. Even now at the age of 55 I'm purchasing these to re-read them and leave a legacy of age old books for my grandchildren. The language in these books is simple and children who have inculcated the habit of reading would love these books. The style of writing and the mysteries involved in each one of these books would make our children also want to be like the characters in the stories.

Disappointed!
I'd like to start by saying that this review comes from the Famous Five fan. I was very excited to get this book for my daughter, and I do think that the physical quality of the book itself, and the illustrations are wonderful. What I did find disappointing was the way the chapters were grouped together, thus losing all continuum or meaning. If the adventure is captured within one chapter, then you're in luck. Otherwise, you'll be very lost. Just to give you an example: in the "Feasts" Section, we read the story about the Five waking up on the island, going for a swim and discussing how they would capture the smugglers of the chest in the bottom of the sea... you turn the page and the Five wake up at a different place and go to the farm to get some food (different story). My daughter demanded to find out what happened with that chest, but alas! This could not be done. I appreciate that the chapters are grouped by "subject" but in my mind the most exciting part of the series is to follow the adventures, which is not always the case with this book. We'll be reverting to the old collection where we can see the beginning, development and the end of the adventures.

Get these books for a welcome silence!
My 8 year old daughter picked up one of the series while we were having a meal at a country pub one afternoon. We are always extatic to have a break from the constant barrage of questions and commmentary that only an 8 year old can deliver, but I was also thrilled to find that Enid Blyton was the cause of this sudden and welcome silence.Upon our return home, I immediately purchased the entire series, and let me tell you, it's the best money I've ever spent! She is completely immersed in them and for a short while I wondered if I'd actually gone deaf!I also caught my wife on a trip down memory lane while reading a few! A great buy!

Packed with fun stories and ideas
Wizard! as the Five might say. Short stories, excerpts from the full-length books, fact files on the Five, and lots of fun ideas for things to make and do. You can learn to make your own wrapping paper and ginger beer, get ideas for training your dog and for games to play if you visit the seaside, and find out about places that inspired the stories. All this is packaged in a lovely hardcover book with wonderful, colourful illustrations. The book exudes fun from cover to cover and is a lovely gift for anyone who enjoys the Famous Five.

how do i get a refund?
This is not in a good kindle format.i bought it for my grandaughter to read, as she needs glasses she needs the text expanding, because its not written like the normal kindle formats and is more like a scanned copy of the book, once expanded the words disappear off the side of the page and you loose track of where you are trying to move the pages sideways and forwards.Even i gave up. complete waste of money.
