Love this! We gave our fireplace a facelift and this wood looks great. We painted the back black and added some lint like fibers under the wood that make it look like heated wood. Whole project turned out great. Would buy again!

I love the way it looks in my gas fireplace! I’ve only run it a few minutes while we’re still setting it up but they don’t get hot immediately.

These are a nice set of logs to use in a fireplace with a faux light / log / fire. I am not sure if they can be used with a gas fireplace, I will not try that.The top log in the box came broken, even though they are wrapped individually the top one was broke. when I examined it I thought it was foam, it is very lightweight and if it is ceramic and heat and flame resistant it is some space age material that I know exist as the space shuttle tiles were ceramic yet light weight and like foam. These are probably a similar ceramic and I only discovered this as they weight seemed odd and the one log was broken.In relity a nine log set is just the same as a ten log set to me so its not big deal but the manufacturer needs to know that this one was broken. I am still using it as I just placed the broken end toward the rear wall of the fireplace and on the bottom, no one knows the difference.I am using this with an elecrtric fireplace insert that I have placed inside of my fireplace. I have a gas fireplace yet the element was removed many many years ago as I am in Florida. We burnt real wood in it one year yet I did not care for the smoke.

These logs look so real. I have an outdoor wood fire that we are converting to gas, these look so good.

Light weight for sure, but effective! We used two sets to get this look and arranged the way we wanted them. They hold the heat well. Wind has not been an issue at all for these.

After an estimated 2 one hour long cycles and a week total of these being installed and the pilot on they released so much soot you could barely tell the pilot was lit. You couldn’t see through the glass screen. They are falling apart and everything is a greasy black residue. I had to scrub with dawn to remove the soot.

These logs are super small compared to the current logs we have in our gas fireplace. I prefer the bigger ones. However, they are realistic looking and made like any other fire place log so they do work. They are just small.
