exceptional Entertainment
Great story, well thought out environment with a nicely fleshed out protagonist! I was amazed at how involved I became in the reading of this book. I felt like I got to know the protagonist and could feel his pain and his anger as things did not go well for him, and the glory of accomplishment when his efforts were greeted with success. I encourage others to read this book. Respectfully, DivineComedy001.

An awesome start to a new series
When the Valens Legacy ended I was massively disappointed cause I love that series so much. Now we get to see the series go on in the future and I am thrilled. I've very much enjoyed reading this story; it was exciting, there was a lot of action, there were emotions - I cannot say enough good stuff about it. If you like Harem Lit you're gonna love this book

Grand Read.
I read this mostly nonstop. The story line grabbed me and kept me. Mihalis is a complex character; a man -child on the cusp of adulthood. Lots of action and humor, marvelous word pictures. Entertaining sex. And much, much, more. Highly recommend this author and story.

4 I Shall Set An Alarm Stars
Mihalis is the first book in the Valens Heritage series by Jan Stryvant.I feel so dejected that the next book won't cover Mihalis as well. (Big sad.) I've really enjoyed meeting this character and discovering this world, after the author so unceremoniously dropped us into it from page one. Learning the ins-and-outs of the djevils, mainly their many branches of evolution was intriguing, by itself. Top that up with coming to understand the hierarchy and loose info into the origins of his Lion race definitely compounded my interest into this world.I honestly think it's hilarious that there is a chart at the end of the book for all of his siblings, and their mother. The hilarity only intensifies, in that it was necessary. I don't remember any of who is whose, basically. Which is what I assume will making learning more about Sean and Troy better. It may add insight into the siblings we have yet to truly hear about, following along a different characters insight.I hope the trend continues, of learning more about his sister's as well. I do enjoy a badass woman, or many, in my reads. Similarly, I hope to know what becomes of Mihalis' burgeoning relationship(s) with the fae sisters. And, as always, I enjoy the different creatures. As well, how different authors interpret them.

Incredible!
Honestly his best work yet! Complex emotional fantasy built in a world we already know. This story felt like coming over to your grandmothers house hanging out with your best friends in the basement playing video games and binge watching your favorite shows! The world was familiar yet oh so new. It was a great wonder on how the magical world and other aspects of the Valens legacy played out. Very interesting new magic at play and love how the MC is working though all his problems and setbacks. In some ways I think the Mike might be my new favorite because he has more in his arsenal then just smash and dominate. Would like to see him build his own little empire and do the whole town building thing in the DEZ. Can’t wait for more!

Happy I’m Back
I hadn’t read a Valens novel since the last of the series (I was aware of). I think I’ve missed some of the story line with lots of new characters. But the best part is the quality of Jan’s writing. He tells stories the way I would want to if I were writing it (as if I could). And the writing has gotten better if that’s possible. Now I need to find where the other story lines went. I’m very happy to rediscover this exciting and well written adventure. I think you will be too.

Valens children grow up
I'm so happy to see the series continue with Shaun's children of his 9 wives.Michael is a dark drow and incubus from his mom, and Lion like his dad. He's still young and gullible, being taken advantage of by lioness's that want to have children with his unique looks of a solid black fur in his lion form. When he finds out that they are using him, without caring for his feelings, he has to just get away.So much more happens and all of it is good...Can't wait to see where this goes from here.Read in 1 day

the algorithm is the only thing that matters
leaving a review is pointlessvas only the algoritm really matters and it treats anything lesd than 5 as a negative. typical lazy work by a corporate entity . anyway if you like harem fantasy you will probably enjoy this..it isnt really worth 5*s but see rant above

Continuing a great story and world
This book is a great read for any fans of the valens legacy series, it continues the world building and overall story of that world. The MC is Sean’s son, and trained as such, so no figuring out spells and magic like the start of the valens legacy series. It’s essentially more valens goodness and interesting characters and women to choose from.

Mihalis
I like the storyline. It has the old characters but keeps them for the most part in the background. There is enough of the old series to interest the readers with a new direction that is very interesting. I throughly enjoyed the book!A very good read and I can’t wait for the next book!

Enjoyable read.
I have this a 5 * rating as I have read all of the previous Valens stories and thoroughly enjoyed them all. This carries it on well with a good expansion and progression to characters old and new. I look forward to reading more.

Home run
I'm just loving this new series and can't wait for the next book. I especially like how it maintains continuity and having the old cast guest appearances is a great treat.
