Great pump
Absolutely amazing pump, especially for the price. Runs almost whisper silent as opposed to many other brands that buzz and rumble. Has no issues running both an air stone and a bubble filter, so air flow isn’t an issue at all. Simple buttons to keep operation easy. Haven’t had a long term power outage but have run it for several hours continuously, but you have an option to run intermittently, if desired to extend battery life. Had it for about 8 months with no issues.

Contains a built in battery backup
The battery backup on this item is exceptionally long lasting. The features are the best I have seen on any air pump. On my prior aquarium I tried to use plants to provide oxygen for my fishies. In the end I had to give up on that tank. While the plants were beautiful, they came with a price, snail infestation. Literally after a year there were hundreds, or more. I kept a huge colony of shrimp also, making copper a non-option. I ordered my plants through a so called reputable site. With each plant, more and more snails. Eventually over loading my tank.Once I bought my 32 biocube, I decided I would provide air via a high powered air pump. This more than meets my needs :) you can see the light fog of many dispersed air bubbles in the tank, and my fish love it.We have a huge amount of blackouts here. I tried a non battery backup pump originally. After hours of loss of power, the fish would be at the surface gulping for air. I do have a huge natures generator system, but I’m usually not home to turn it on and run cords. After I put this into use, even without power to my home I could still see the super tiny air bubbles in the tank. Therefore that issue is solved by this product. I use both air outputs on opposite sides of my tank at medium power. This is an excellent product and is also the best air pump I have had in my 30 years of having fishies. It is also so quiet you can’t hear it run. The only sound you hear from it is the bubbles breaking the surface from a piece of decor that produces large air bubbles. Once again this is a perfectly designed product.

Very not bad!
Not too loud, not too weak. I used 2 of these on my aquariums for a battery backup. I have them running in tandem with a larger pump on each aquarium and have them connected with check valves. Had to get them for a planned blackout for some electrical work. 12 hours with no power and these each worked great. I have 1 in a 55 and 1 in a 75. Should I lose power my fish now have life support! Also I run the battery power during water changes because I power down my tank so it kicks on and reassures me it still working. I'm very satisfied.

Perfect full time/backup air supply
This is great. You can keep it off and when power goes out it will come on automatically. Or if you want to run it all the time it will stay on when power goes out. Great backup for any aquarium!

Even a life saver for our fish in our pond.
We had a tornado this past summer, and our power was out for a few days. The day of the tornado , our amazon driver delivered this pump I ordered. He was quite the hero that day in his efforts. The back up battery allowed us to recharge this pump periodically in our vehicle, thus allowing us to pump air into our garden fish pond. It literally saved our fish. Great product and Great service from our Amazon delivery man that day!!

Backup battery died after 17 hours....
It works. It's a strong pump. Back up wasn't horrible but only lasted 17 hours on full charge.

Quiet and Powerful
I ordered this air pump because Hurricane Helene is expected to come through Georgia, bringing high winds and heavy rain, and possible loss of power . I switched out my old pump today to my 55 gallon aquarium hoses. One is attached to a large sponge filter, and the other to a long bubble tube. The force is stronger than the pump I had. I highly recommend it, especially if you live in an area where you may lose power.

Works as described
I have it set up just to run two airstones at the top of my tank, specifically for power outages. (I may hook it up to a sponge filter. This thing is quite powerful for just the two airstones.) But, and for right now, I have it set to come on only when a power outage happens. A power outage happened while I was at home and this kicked right on. No problems at all.
