Betrothal of Bastet Tapestry (Crystal Goddess)

Description

This is a 5x3' tapestry print of Bastet. I had some interesting encounters at Desert Hearts in 2015. At the beautiful Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, I experienced some of the purest loving energy. Such an intimate venue, one stage, one vibe, one love. A sense of being encouraged to "flow" and protected in doing so. She was a feline goddess, wise and powerful as a lioness, yet playful as a kitten. She encouraged the abundant experience of the feminine. Let go and flow, embrace joy, music, and dancing. It all reminded me of Bastet, the Egyptian cat goddess. Yet only the warm, positive side of her archetype. She was a symbol of creation and healing energies. She offered protection from the negative. Like a cat sometimes weaves through its environment, so too can you wind past all obstructions. I painted my interpretation. She is stoic and strong, yet her colorful nature suggests her wonderfully abundant experience. Take a long look into her eyes, does she speak to you? Each tapestry is set with two grommets for easy hanging. Take it to festivals, wear it as a cape, hang it on your walls, or fly it high from the rooftops.
