Not so great anymore. UPDATED
UPDATED.Less than a year out of the box and with only a few hours a week operation for about 4 months I now have a very expensive doorstop. GFI switch on the plug wouldn’t reset so I replaced it. Tried again and the gfi switch still trips immediately. Unit won’t power on at all. Tried to get customer service. Haha. Received an email back that there is nothing they can do. Hunk of garbage. Don’t waste your money. I originally rated 4 stars but abysmal reliability and customer service make it a .5.This is a great portable cooler. It definitely moves air and will cool down a hot garage about 15 degrees. It's big but easy to move around. If you're going to run it for long periods of time on high its helpful to hook it up to a water supply directly. It burns through its water reservoir in less than two hour in my experience. You do have to be able to place it next to an open window or door if you're using it indoor and it helps to have an open door/window downstream to vent to. If you try to run it in a garage without a door or window open it will turn your garage into a muggy swamp. It is very easy to set up and run. The only drawback is that it is LOUD when its on high. On the low setting it sounds like a fan. On high its a little more like a jet turbine. Its a good machine though and I would buy it again.

Works very well in the listed applications
This works very well if you know where and how to use it. Meaning, the listing indicates it is good for hot and dry climates inside but does work well outside in more humid climates (Eg: FL). Living in a humid climate, I tried this outside and it works surprisingly well! It does not cool as much as an a/c but it also does not claim to nor sets the expectation to do so. The instructions and information are very clear and easy to follow. This is a fairly big unit but it wasn’t as bad to move as I had expected. I was also surprised (impressed) to see two beverage holders on top. Nice touch.Something that impresses me is that where I am currently staying has some fairly poor water pressure outside and it still works fine (you hook a hose up to it). I’m not 100% sure the way it physically works, other than a large blower inside, but it made some ladderball and cornhole games a lot more fun and manageable as it is getting so incredibly hot here. So hot I don’t usually want to be outside but this helps a lot for me! I wish it had a built in pest controller (mosquitoes) but that would be overkill...which is underrated haha. This gave us some hours of cooler time and probably 90% more time outside because near it things were cooler. I think this will be absolutely perfect for my back porch that is getting fixed. It isn’t too noisy, works well as a “swamp cooler” and as long as you don’t expect a/c level cooling (it’s a bit different but still good), I think it will make many people happy. I’d avoid using it inside where the climate is over 45% humidity and use it outside there. It is a fairly large unit but made to be movable. I’d recommend it to try for anyone outside or inside in a more dry climate.

Life changer
This really is a life changer for summer patio living. It blows a huge volume of chilly air, and completely transformed my outdoor space into a comfortable retreat. It is a swamp cooler, and if you do not know what a swamp cooler is you probably shouldnt buy this. If you know what a swamp cooler is, it is probably because you live in a low humidity hot place and understand that these things only work to cool dry air. But, they do a great job of that. There are only two speeds, and the low is pretty high. There is a swivel mode which moves the air around abit, but does so internally so the unit itself stays completely still. At full blast there is definitely some fan noise, but for what it is this is decently quiet. Not going to have a whispered conversation right next to it, but its not going to drown out every noise in your backyard.

Don't buy
Sent an old used product and now I have to pay $125.00 to ship it back for a refund. Not happy at all.
