My 6 year old granddaughter loved playing with this. It was mostly made with only minimal effort required to put a few pieces onto the main structure. There are many very tiny pieces which make it difficult if younger siblings are around. However all the loose pieces store neatly in the back of the wheel.

Bought this for my daughters birthday, the day before the big day I thought I should open it and put it all together so that when she opened it, it would be ready to go. I went through all the steps and then disaster stuck - the present giving lever on the ferris wheel wouldn’t move!At all!So in a panic I google I go online and then I see the other reviews, saying how the present lever would not move and ended up having to send it back. It’s her birthday tomorrow and I decided I would not be defeated so I got out my tool kit, I removed the ferris wheel from the rest of the playset and tried to work out what was going on. What I found was that clearly during production the present lever has become attached somehow to the backing, I’d read other reviews saying how some people tried forcing it and it snapped, so I thought how about just separating the lever from the backing – I got a sharp knife and I steadily worked it in between the lever and the backing – it didn’t take much before the lever was free – it’s literally a tiny part of the lever (a could of ml) that is attached to the pink backing. Once I separated it, it worked perfectly! So to any other parents who encounter this dilemma and do not want to be defeated by a plastic toy set, this is the solution I found and it worked for me :) I hope it does for you too.Good luck parents !

My granddaughter absolutely loved this. Really good gift for any Polly Purchase fans. Lots of little compartments and a working Ferris wheel with compartment behind for characters to be hidden and come out of the front by turning the wheel.

The Ferris wheel lever literally does not move at all. We’ve ordered two of these sets now.The first one, the lever wouldn’t budge and I gently pushed the little hatch down whilst moving the lever up to ‘present mode’ thinking it might just be a bit stiff … and I ended up snapping the hatch. It meant the wheel dispensed toys every time but broken so I sent it back.The second one I have right now has the same problem. No matter how hard I push the lever it will not switch into present mode. If I do it any harder it will snap. Plus I’m an adult using a lot of force. My daughter should be able to switch the little lever easily. It’s a children’s toy. So I have resorted to unscrewing the whole tower to see if I can get to the mechanism. However it’s pretty much sealed once you get the initial screw off. I risk cracking the back of the tower if I use any more force to get the back panel off (I can already see the plastic stressing).Only option seems to be to break the hatch again.Aside from that major design flaw, it looks fantastic.

My granddaughter has played with this for numerous hours without getting bored.
