so glad to get a album for my partner who has been after it for years

A thoroughly enjoyable piece of history and a very interesting part of the Beatles story with some evocative recordings.

If you have all the Fab Fours albums, why buy this one? Out of all the US releases, this is the one any collector should have. I'll Cry instead has an extra verse and Any Time at all, When I get home, And I love her, and Matchbox are all different versions. The packaging is really cute. The mono versions are far superior to the stereo versions and it is great that you can compare both.

Great cd from a great band

I bought this CD and had it sent to my brother as a birthday present. Our parents had the LP in our younger days and we enjoyed it, then. I had already bought the CD for myself last year. Some lovely tracks including the German version of "I Want To Hold Your Hand".

I think this is one of the best US compilations. Great songs, both in mono and stereo. Perhaps they did not even know how good they were. And were they good!

These US albums are fascinating. Poor Americans were exploited by Capitol as they queued as many albums as possible out of The Beatles output. Well worth having for historical purposes, especially as you get stereo and mono versions and great replica sleeve.

It is simply very interesting to experience the - from a Brit perspective - sheer oddness of the selection of (excellent) tracks for this US album.

É ótimo poder ter acesso a esse formato em que os Beatlea eram lançados nos EUA, totalmente diferentes das suas contrapartes Britânicas, mas aqui apresentados em Mono/Estéreo o que poder ser muito bom porque o Mono era tecnologia vigente da época e era como a banda queria ser ouvida

Quiero hacer la colección de los CD'S de los Beatles

Non avendo acquistato a suo tempo il cofanetto The Beatles in USA, sto recuperando tutti i CD del box set comprandoli separatamente. Ora è la volta di Something New, ovvero la controparte Capitol di A Hard Day's Night della EMI inglese. Il CD è perfetto, con le caratteristiche proprie di queste edizioni in mono/stereo, riprodotte in formato mini LP e l'artwork fedele all'originale. Unico appunto: il suono è ottimo ma basato sul remaster 2009, non sui nastri ritoccati dalla Capitol nel 1964. Per quello bisogna cercare il 33 del 1964 o il CD del box set The Capitol Albums del 2004.
