Super-Thin
These are not like the usual uncooked poppadoms I used to be able to buy in the supermarkets (where did they GO?!). Although you get as much in the way of whole-package weight (same as, for example, the Ruby brand ones my branch of ASDA used to do), the individual poppadoms are extremely thin so of course you end up with a much thinner and more fragile end product after cooking, too. Even a large mouthful is still 'barely there'. The taste is perfectly acceptable but the thinness means the crunch just isn't what most people might be used to, because the second you start to chew it kind of 'melts' into nothingness. The value for money - if you buy in bulk, like the 20 packets I bought - is relatively good, in this day and age, but you do have to compromise a LOT, and - much like skinny French fries vs thick-cut steak chips - you end up with a greater ratio of oil to thing being fried. I highly doubt I'll buy again.

Hundreds of my favourite snack
For some unknown reason uncooked poppadoms have disappeared from my local supermarkets and I do not care for the pre-cooked packs they sell in a huge plastic container which once opened are almost impossible to keep fresh. These plain poppadoms on the other hand are simply so easy to store and use. They come in a large bag, then split into smaller packs, and I find there is absolutely no problem in removing two or three for immediate use, then just clipping the bag close with a Klippit type thing. To use them I simply microwave them one at a time - they are quite large - and they only take seconds to prepare. A very big saving when compared to some proprietary/supermarket brands. A very good buy.

They taste better at the takeaway!
A good price but the actual papads are very thin and flaky. ( I cook them in microwave so this may be the reason).

Good value for money purchase
We love our East End Lijat papads. Microwave each for between 30 seconds to 2 min at 750W and they're fresh, crispy and really tasty. With a curry. Or without.

Great taste.
These make the high street packaged poppadoms taste bad. These are the real thing and are wonderful with your curries.
