I agree with other reviewers that the product description should include the pin diameter since this tool is designed for larger snap rings--in my case this is what was needed. 2 negatives: assembly quality is poor--most rivets were loose (including center pivot) and had to be tightened or replaced; red tool holder labels are reversed 'internal' 'external'.

These are OK, but the external plier had a malformed tip and would not work on heavy duty circlips. Have requested info from Shankly on a new tip set, but no response.

These are not for small snap rings that you would find on most equipment. The pin ends are quite large and may be good for industrial equipment, but not for working on cars, etc. these feel somewhat loose in terms of fit and how these would stand up to everyday usage is unclear.

The plier set is fine but had to trim a set to fit/remove a 2.5in circlip from a wheel hub.

Although the set is of good enough quality and construction, the large diameter 2.75mm tips render this set of pliers useless for most home and auto uses. Most automotive snap rings have a smaller hole diameter, so this set is really intended for larger vehicles and industrial equipment. The tip diameter is not disclosed in the description.

It's definitely well made, and it can handle a variety of clips It beats spending over $100 for a pair that are probably manufactured by the same people. You will save a ton of money!!
