CNDVinylux Long Wear Nail Polish (No Lamp Required), 15 ml, Purple Shades

not impressed with the colour, it not a magenta or purple.

Vinylux is brilliant! Goes on easily, dries quickly and lasts about a fortnight. And it doesn't chip! Also makes your nails very strong. As good as a gel manicure any day, so worth what initially seems an expensive pricetag for varnish and topcoats. I wont be paying out for nailbar manicures any more, this is a great product.

‘Nordic Lights’ is from the CND Vinylux Long Wear Nail Polish System.This polish is listed as a purple glitter shade and this is a very dark red-purple. In the bottle it seems to be packed full of glitter of varying shapes and sizes, on the nail it was a little more sparse with the big pieces of glitter looking a little out of place.I tried to manipulate the glitter onto my nails but it just pulled around and ended up looking uneven. I applied 2 coats, as directed, but the formula was so sheer and the colour so dark it just looked very uneven and streaky.It started to chip almost immediately but as this is a 2 step system and I didn’t apply the Long Wear topcoat (step 2) - which it says ‘must be used for ultimate performance’ - then I can't really complain about its wear time.I was happy to remove this polish - which wasn’t easy due to the glitter pieces being firmly welded to my nails. It did eventually come off with lots and l-o-t-s of rubbing - thankfully there was no damage to my nails!

This is the second Vinylux colour that I've tried, I love them! Both of the colours were a slightly different colour than they appeared in the picture which I would say is the only downfall, but still worth 5 stars! Tango passion is slightly darker and has a shimmer which I personally cannot see in the photo, but still a beautiful colour! The last application of the previous colour lasted 5 days on me, but my hands work hard as I'm constantly washing up, cleaning, doing up zips and poppers for my children etc! I could have gotten away with another day, but I wanted to try this new colour and I had a little bit of tip wear/slight cracking to the top coat, but only I would have noticed that probably! Goes on so smoothly, and dries quickly, I'm sat here painting while my baby is asleep so hopefully she will sleep a full hour! :D

I love this brand. If applied as recommended it lasts for up to a week. It’s the best varnish I have used and is a vivid lovely colour

Great product! Polish doesn’t stay on my nails at all, but this brand does ! It stays for a few days, I use with top polish with same brand.Beautiful colour!

I love this colour and the polish goes on smoothly and easily, with good coverage and dries quickly. However, I am on day 3 and it is showing signs of wear, the tips of my nails are definitely wearing but so far no chips ( and I have a couple of nails that are peeling and so far the polish is still adhering to those nails). it might just be that the slight wear is more obvious with such a dark colour.i have had my nails shellaced a couple of times and I would say that shellac is the more superior product however the cost advantage of this product and the ease of being able to do this at home myself not having to return to a salon to have the polish removed may well win me over yet.I'll edit the review after a few more days to give the product a fair chance
