Silverline 253184 Flexible Magnetic Pick-Up Tool 600 mm

Flexible magnet good for picking up hard to reach screws and bolts that have fallen down in the most inaccessible of places. Proved to be a lifesaver when a crucial bolt fell into the inner part of the front cross member on my vehicle. Could neither see nor reach the bolt but a few minutes of magnet fishing and i hauled in a successful catch. Had it in my toolbox for 3 years now and it still works great. Would be better if it could hold form when held out horizontally rather than sagging a bit. Nevertheless, it was a worthwhile purchase that has proven to be useful on numerous occasions.

I used the product to pick up a heavy drill core bit which had dropped down the plughole. The super Strong Magnet picked the core up no problem. Its a fantastic handy tool to have in your toolbox.

I got this for trying to reach part whilst working on the cars, I wouldn’t say the magnet is the strongest but it definitely does the job and with it being able to bend definitely helps. Overall good value for money and would recommend.

Manage to retrieve a lost bit that had been dropped between the seats in the car.

Previously I had a multi-tip screw driver with a telescopic magnetic device in it for retrieving dropped items. I had it for years with no problem until I needed to retrieve a bolt that was completely unreachable and around a bend. I had to bend that tool - it did retrieve the bolt but was then totally ruined.This tool however is designed to be flexible, it has a very good reach - much longer than its predecessor, a very powerful magnet - I can pick up dropped spanners and things never mind the screws and small items I usually need it for.The tip has a plastic cover - I'm not quite sure what that is for - it could be to protect the tip, or it could be to provide insulation if you're trying to pick up something that has fallen into the body of something electrical. Either way, I like the plastic tip, and it's removable if needs be.Good tool, good price.

Strong magnet and long and bendy enough to reach anywhere

Bought to try and get a metal piece out of bath plug hole that my daughters stupid boyfriend had accidentally dropped inside while fishing hair out of it! Instead of unscrewing the cover and cleaning it properly he thought it would be a good idea to have a mess with a screwdriver!! The end fell off and couldn’t be retrieved,this tool grabbed it straight away so I am happy,a shame the boyfriend isn’t as much use
